Question: Ash Warframe. Why hate?

So, I've been away for like months, even years from this game. Ever since I came back people seemed to hate Ash? I don't know if 'hate' is the word for it. People are complaining about him recently and I haven't got a clue why.

I had Ash ever since I started. He is also my main and I'm pretty surprised about the fact that people are having problems with him. I've done a little research and it seems like his ability 'Bladestorm' is the main reason?

I also intend to get Ash Prime, even though you tell me not to, you're not gonna stop me unfortunately. Even though I may take a negative impact on that.

Oh no, someone took the experience of doing a repetetive task I will get to do over and over again and again ad nauseum away from me in this one particular instance.
How dare that guy save me time so I can progress faster?
And where else can I waste time in warframe? The game barely does that.

Part of it may be because Blade Storm rekts all the FPS.

Really? That's one of the reason? Not trying to boast or anything, but I have a pretty potato PC and I haven't had any problems with that. That reason is pretty interesting actually.

Make a animation build and now instand kill all you see time over time.
I have a high end pc and even mine will drop frame rates after some tiime froma steady 60fps ultra to 24 fps after 100 x blade storms in row.

(lowering settings ofc can help)

Ohw and people like to moan maybe:p
But never knew people hated ash, most people just build it wrong:p

[vent]People come to Draco with Ash to farm focus, and then get buttmad and leave when I kill steal all their marks with Saryn spores, leaving all other people with way less spawns and thus less affinity. ♥♥♥♥ Ash, his only use is clearing Exterminate fast, and even then Saryn and Ember can be just as good.[/vent]

I`m okay with Ash in general. I got mine a Smoke Bomb augment, ocassionally its pretty fun. And I love his 3.

so bladestorms a fps issue but not a blind spamming mirage huh? thats new...

i only run my ash during syndicate defence/interception/survival, mostly because pubs are horrible horrible places for those 3 mission types for syndicates. otherwise i havent had an issue with ash or "fps issues" if someone else is running ash i sit back and enjoy the free affinity but i guess thats just me

I just have the prob doing it myself after 100x times. Never have a prob having 2 ashes around me doing it. The frame drops i get is from the animation it self since its bugged 90% of the time.

Maybe people simply dont like blade storm since they dont watch the markt targets being glowing red:p

Btw i farm faster focus with ember and ignis then any other fram atm ( maybe i m doing somethign wrong but 4 waves is around 50k focus average with that combi. just polorize you ignis a bit so it can hold 90 .

People will dislike frames becasue they are cheap, if a frame is pretty much press 4 to win people will hate it even if it is useful and helping your team out.

Is your in-game name similar to your local one? Have we, per chance, played a few random Exterminations some 5 hours ago (I was a dark-blue Oberon with a Nikana)? Because, if so, I guess you can just keep it up - not just spamming bladestorm and using smokes and his third ability.

The one thing many people hate about your warframe is Bladestorm - for a number of reasons. Some say spamming it contributes nothing to the team, others complain about killstealing, third - that it is just a melee equivalent of an aimbot and so forth. The thing I hate about it? The boasters. Yeah, it's that kind of players who tend to shout how their character, and I quote, "is so much better than all of you plebs I can destroy anything including your sorry <...>!". Needless to say that, despite bragging about being the only useful player on the team, some of them rarely get more than 20% dmg dealt, so go figure.

Ash really lacks some variety for my taste. His smokebombs are okay, but not as good as both Ivara's or Loki's cloaks; his third is nice; his shurikens are garbage, and his 4th is... Well, it could be reworked.

Anyways, if you aren't going to spam his abilities, or at least, are not going to be a d*ck about it, I say all lucks to you, man. Go farm that Ash Prime. He's got some bling to him, at least.

Plus thanks on the positive comment. I only use Bladestorm whenever it's needed, when there's too many crouds on a defense mission for example.

Question... Do you REALLY want Ash to become like Saryn (from nuking to debuffing)? Bladestorm always dealt much higher damage than Miasma, especially in high level missions.

...I haven't seen ONE person complaining about Bladestorm so far.
It's mostly enough to take out level 100 heavy units such as Bombards in 2-3 quick hits.
All that defending might come from the fact that every Warframe has a place in my play. Even Hydroid.
EDIT: Just did the Sortie Interception (Radiation Hazard). Not a single teammate killed. Ash x Mirage confirmed.

hes hated on draco if you're trying to level weapons as they get reduced xp from warframe ability kills but hes a great ally for leveling warframes and focus farming

hes is easy to play if you spam bladestorm jsut aim, press 4, leave computer, get a drink, start a family, run for president, be assassinated, be reincarnated as a better warframe player and play loki instead

correct me if im wrong but if an ally warframe kills an enemy using his powers you get 75% affinity to your warframe and then 25% to your weapons?

thats what i gather from playing if i have a level 30 warframe and no lens with 3 unranked weapons i basically lose 75% of the affinity ash would be giving me but since his blade storm can easily take out 80% of the map it bascially slows down the affinity per minute i could be getting

I dislike Bladestorm, not because it kills everything, but how it goes about it. If it just straight up killed stuff, I'd be fine. Instead, it marks stuff and doesn't kill them right away. Sometimes it doesn't even attack enemies that it marks. When it does attack something, it jerks their model around, throwing off the aim of anyone who may have been trying to line up a headshot on it.

In low level content, you just let Ash do its thing and save your ammo. In high end content when his Bladestorm doesn't even kill enemies that it hits, he not only wastes your ammo, but gives enemies a defensive boost, by moving them out of the path of your attacks.
