maybe on those hive missions, you destroy a hive and theres a chance it triggers a biological response to create a "lich" infested which is tasked by the hive mind to hunt you down. and instead of taxing you when you play on planets where this hive mind super soldier is based it just makes the missions incredibly difficult.

They probably haven't done it since the Infested have no distinct personalities, quirks or fears.

Warframes are the infested liches, right?

Though they could do something where you like take a kuva lich, and stab it with a special parazon mod that infests it, then it goes off and joins the infested faction and takes control of some units. Kerrigan style. Maybe the kuva keeps them partially sane, or at least "sane" for a grineer.

i like the ideal, pesonaly i think about not just farm a "plagued weapon" but fight a lich ad get a "parasite" like the kyste system for helminth chager and with that you can infested a low tier weapon only to be a better version.

also this could be a good time to make some sort of " infested" tenno weapons as well not just normal infested weapons since i dont see a tenno lich ever happening

how about sentient liches ?
with sentient weapons and stuff ?
now that they are out there , rampaging through the system there are lots of opportunities to add them as flavour

issue is that sentients dont have many weapons to work with at the moment for that one at the moment but it will probably happen eventually

Who the f knows what DE will come up with? One thing is certain - there WILL BE infected liches and the POWER CREEP will keep going.

though i don't think acolytes or corrupted would be given liches. corrupted just use prime weapons, and stalker has like 5 weapons total.

i wouldnt consider prime as a kuva counter part, they are WAY to weak

also i would say

plagued or blighted
acolyte isnt really a "faction" more of a squad or syndicate to small
