There are always about 30 000 - 40 000 players and big spike happen depending what sort of update is released.
I don't know if it is "a lot more" or "a few more" because I don't have data from other platforms.
According to various account/player trackers, there are about 30-50 million "owners" of Warframe on Steam. If DE says there are 38 million (and that's a remotely current number) then that means the vast majority of them are on Steam.

Too bad most people playing limbo are either leeching in SP missions doing literally nothing but sitting in a corner and picking up resources once in a while or playing with a max range build. Limbo players with functioning brain cells are rarer than atlas mains.
I only see limbo user like 1 in every 50 session and everytime is the one that annoyed me. They usually just open 4 and 2. freeze the enemy which make the wave slow and i cannot dmg them or make my range become limited because i cannot dmg enemy outside the bubble when i'm inside and vice versa.
Anyway, that is how rare he is since not many people know how to use him properly and that is why he get the hate because of that streotype. There is also people like me who prefer faster and constant enemy wave which is why speed nova and nuke warframe is the best IMO for almost any mission.
Why post contradicting messages...
imho limbo is meh only useful in radiation def missions and somewhat in syndicate missions
biggest problem are the players who dont know how to use em .
