Is The Synoid Gammacor Good?

I have friends who say stuff like "i dont need a primary,i have the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ synoid gammacor" is it really that good?

It can be good, but the ammo efficiency on the thing isn't all that great. If you only use that weapon, you'll find yourself running out of ammo often if you don't have a Primed Pistol Ammo Mutation mod.

Staticor is way more fun imo and I never need a primary with that lol.

It's DPS is decent and it's abilitiy to regenerate Energy is very helpfull.
It's also extremely easy to use since it has perfect accuracy and no recoil.
The problem or rather it's compensation is the already mentioned bad ammo efficency.

When it was released this was not the case, so everybody and their mother used it without even bothering to use a main-weapon. Then the ammo efficenty was nerfed to balance it out. Now it's OK, but it takes practice to not overuse it and run dry.

Synoid Gammacor is a very potent weapon. It does eat through ammo reserves fast, like most full-auto secondaries and some primaries.

It's ammo efficiency is kinda ok and weapon is usable even in endless missions with maxed mutation.

Some people say, that the weapon has terrible ammo efficiency. They do it only for one reason: it was EXTREMELY ammo-efficient, now it's on par with other full-auto secondaries, like AkStiletto, AkSomati, Secuara Dual Cestra, Twin Grakatas. It has average efficiency for secondary full-autos. Which does require mutation for long missions. That's it.

Yeah, it's actually still better than most of the repeating weapons. Only weakness really is range. Other than that - crit builds (easy aim even with corrupted mods, and still has good fire rate with fire rate reduction..), status builds, direct damage builds, specific element builds, enough slots to spare for multishot or ammo store (or ammo conversion), enemy specific builds.. It's still one of the most powerful sidearms in the game.
