It's necessary to build a crit build on the Amprex, then it becomes an absolute monster. It will require formas, as well as mods like Heavy Caliber, Split Chamber, Serration, all ranked to a good level.

Very good. And with Volt it becomes just stupidly good.

It may require Ammo mutation (Primed for really extensive runs), but it is obne of two weapons avaible of getting up to ~216% Crit cance, about 180% in a more optimized build.

The damage may not look like much now and stays behind other endgame weapons even when optimized, but it chains from the primary hit enemies toall other in range - even those already hit when using Punch-Through because it chains from every enemy.

If you are ready to invest a lot of Forma and got good aim, you get a gun capable of serving you for the whole game.
Even if other weapons may do more damage, that doesn`t really matter until you reach Soertie 2 or 3.

Also, another tip. It might be a continuous beam weapon - but don't continuously press it's trigger. Shoot in bursts and let the weapon "cool down" a bit. This way you will ensure that all enemies recieved their approriate damage and all that damage jumped between targets and will not overdamage them, wasting needless power (that guy you are frying right now - might be already dead, but damage haven't registered yet). This way I actually manage to not need any ammo mutators and still have few full energy cells long after weapons such as Boltor Prime already chugging their last bolts from the magazines.

ITs a pretty awsome crit rifle, but sucks ammo like a beach. Any mid to high tier mission you will need some sort of restores or ammo mutation. LIke already suggested, use punch thru and split chamber to chain shots, and burst fire to use it most effectivly.
