Vigor vs Armored Agility
Im trying to maxamize my survivability without losing my current damage setup. I already Have Steel Fiber and Vitality equiped so changing Armored Agility into Vigor is the only option I have. But it makes me wonder which is more effective... Any thoughts?

It depends on Armor value of your warframe. If the base armor is less than 200, i don't use +% armor mods at all. For high armor frames (Valkyr, Chroma) armor mods are more effective.

Vigor is not a very good mod IMO. If you're already using Vitality or/and Redirection, Vigor adds only ~20% to the hp/shield pool that isn't much.
The Warframe im using is Excalibur. Im also a bit worried because I actually want less shields. Rage keeps my mana pool up but sheilds get in the way and Vigor will make my sheilds bigger.

I know Vigor itself is a little on the meh side but in this case I think it might be more effective. I could just add damage but I really like my power efficiency.

But heres my current build.... / Steel Charge / Steel Fiber / Vitality / Armored Agility / Rage / Intensify / Transient Fortitude / Streamline / Flow /

I`d just use Stretch instead for emergency RBlinds. But if I absolutely had to choose between the two I`d grab Vigor.
Excalibur has pretty high base armor, so both Armored Agility and Vigor kinda work. I would stay with Armored Agility as the durability bonus is pretty much the same for both and mobility is better than extra shields if you use Rage-build. You can also drop your AA for Stretch, which is good for your 2.
Thanks for the advice. Im trying them both out just to be sure but it really helps to get another opinion.
Quick Thinking, LifeStrike, these will help you.

I am using Life strike already and its what keeps me alive and kicking ass, but I think in this case quick thinking isnt the answer im looking for. Its a good idea but my goal is to make managing my health and power more managable.

Yes, Quick thinking gives me a cussion in the event that I would die but its at the expense of my power and the lack of an armor check makes it feel like too much of a loss. Once I'm out of mana I have very little time to figure out a way to heal and when im dealing with the super high level mobs I have to be carefull about the damage I let seep through as well.

One thing that has really helped my build is keeping a decay dragon key on me. My sheilds are only 75 at 30 so I can now utalize Rage very easily. I do have a thought though... I think Equalibrium might be worth a shot. when the big hoards of mobs start to pile up I get plenty of orbs its seems.

Im also thinking about using Fleeting Expertise either with or instead of streamline. I know it doesnt directly make me more survivable but it does keep my moves on the cheep, and anything that keeps me in Exalted Blade mode is a good thing in my book!
I have a favor to ask you OP
Please, for the love of stan, it's not mana, call it whatever you want, energy, juice, milk, just not fkin mana
Functionally speaking... Its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mana.... Im sorry if I also play games that are not Warframe and use a term that SO vary many games do to describe the exact same system of resource managament... So I guess the gist of what im trying to say is... Mana! Mana! Bo-Bana! Banana! Fana! Mo-Mana Fi! Fy! Fo-Fana! MANA!
soooo a lot of exca-noobs dont know this( like literally 90% of them)u can sacrifice some damage for survivability/effi since, with excal, u can combo/channel/use your powers in synergie with your other powers to gain dmg...
1300h now and my excal does more dmg in the long run the 90% of the one i see IG( altho i have less power strenght then they do)why ? because i took the time to study the frame and not just press 4 all day long.
btw the REAL dmg output(like nova for ex) isnt his 4( i can do 10x the dmg of an exalted exca with just the blind and a dagger)
ps: i saw a few exca back in the day who were playing with a dragon key to reduce shield( dunno if its still a thing tho)
I dont know if im giving the wrong impression here... I wasnt trying to talk about skill or what i should or shouldnt do. I know most Exc run around with Exalted on and just spam from a far. Yes I use Exalted, in fact I like being able to maintain it, but thats not all I do.

This discussion was simply inteded to be a springboard for mod ideas. Im not trying to pick the most efficient build that people use or do anything other then what makes my Exc fun to play.

I never posted what weapons I'm using because frankly im very happy in that department. I like my build, and I tend to place highest or near highest damage when I do missions with other people. The only reason I made a post at all is bacause I wondered what Mod would help me best in my last slot. I put Armored Agility originally because I figured I was getting the most bang for my buck in the survivability department.

All I'm looking for is a little constructive criticism.
With Armored Agility you get around 2414 EHP
With Vigor you get around 2625 EHP
While Vigor gives a better EHP count, the value for each HP decreases, also Armored Agility gives a small speed boost, which is always nice, I would personally use the build with Armored Agility, because at some point that EHP becomes laughable, and you gotta depend on your CC and speed to survive, if you can die at 2414 EHP, then you will likely die with 2625

This single post made me laugh... it put a smile upon my face.

Also, OP... use Amored Agility.
Since you are using Rage, the extra shielding from Vigor is meaningless.
Increased armor and run speed is the way to go.

PS: listen to Praxxor, that man knows his frame.

Thanks for this advice, I think you have a great point here and Ill be sure to keep this in mind.
