Deva Vandal: What would you do?

So since the Banshee deluxe skin I've been forma'ing a Dera Vandal, 'cos I feel it suits her new appearance quite nicely, even though yes I do know it is hardly the most effective weapon in the game but fun before practicality I always say!
Anyways, I now have just one mod space left and don't really know what to put in it. Normally I'd add Shred 'cos everyone loves punch-through and more firing rate + more killing, however the Dera Vandal is not the most efficienct when it comes to it's ammo supply and how fast it can already chew through it so I decided not to go with that. Another choice was Heavy Calibur, but one of the reasons I chose this particular weapon was for it's 100% accuracy, making it great for Sonar (and offsetting it's poor damage performance by adding a 9x multiplier! :D). So yeah, what mod would you fit on this if it were your choice and why?

My build is almost the same. except I have Heavy Caliber and the mod that adds 1.4 punch through. That's the only build that I love.

I was going to go with Heavy Calibur but I just love that 100% accuracy coupled with Sonar. I was thinking of Shred but it already burns through an entire clip in just over 5 seconds and i don't want to spend all my time reloading. I was thinking either a dual stat elemental for more status chance and damage, or wildfire for a bigger clip size and more damage.

That's why I do not use Shred with Dera. Pew Pew sound is also more satisfying with default fire rate. I think I had 1 or 2 Dual stat mods replacing those +Element mods. It loses 30% element damage but at least gives small CC with radiation or Viral.

May I suggest actually using Shred with Dera, but training to shoot in bursts? In my opinion Shred is one of the greatest mods in the entire game and saved me countless ammo when dealing with crowds.

That depends, the current build I'm running is good for up to level 40ish enemies when fired normally. Anything higher than that and I need to rely on Banshee's Sonar to boost the damage to make killing easier, but seeing as I built this weapon purely for use on Banshee, it's lower damage isn't really an issue. Sure I could use a more powerful gun, but that would defeat the visual theme I'm going for.

That's just the kind of player I am though, I don't care about having 'the best' of anything, I'd much rather have fun making a loadout where the frames and weapons all match a particular style, and then work on making it usable. Did you know the Tiberon is actually a really good burst rifle when modded properly and it's good for Equinox's sleep augment due to it's precision shooting. The Wraith Twin Vipers, despite their poor ammo efficiency, can tear apart a level 100 enemy in an eyeblink, and even faster if it has a lot of fire element when used with Ember's Accelerant, and the Supra can chew through ANYTHING regardless of resistances with the right setup, with a HoM Mirage it is quite literally unstoppable, haven't met anything yet that can stand against a fully wound Supra.

You'd be amazed at how many weapons go unused and unloved in this game in favour of weapons like the Tonkor, Soma and Simulor, when just a little bit of forma and some love can make them really good contenders. Next on my to-do list is the Gorgon Wraith for my Ember Prime, 'cos the Karak Wraith wasn't working out for her.
