taking gear to level was the way i did a long time ago too - nowadays i only do so when i re-level it after some formas already spend on it (and that only on some kind of missions too).
well, with enough formas one can get nearly any weapon to a point where it can handle well enough against lvl100 (and a bit above that too). but you are right, that without the meta-build it feels...awkward to play it. a better balance between the weapons would be nice, since there are a lot fun-to-use ones that lack the punch it would need for people to chose them more often.
Because Auras are linked to polarities and you can't just switch them out without heavily gimping the other aspects of your build. And not every one has equal facility with every Frame or keeps multiple copies of their preferred Frame to Forma the Aura slot appropriately.
Trinity, or bring health pack and energy restore. That'll clean stuff up. Rejuvenation won't mean anything in high-leveled run since you'll most likely get one shotted. Energy siphon either, 4x energy siphon is useless in the long run since one will spam skills too much that the regen is too slow.
Agree that CP is good, but shield is no use since with magnetic build, any shield unit is easily torn down.
