Is the normal Quanta comparable to the Quanta Vandal?

So I'm looking at video of people talking about Mag yadda yadda we've all heard this spheel before anyways I settled on the Quanta Vandal forgetting it's like 3000 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ plat. So I'm wondering, is the normal version just as good, or should I just find something else instead?

Compared to the Quanta Vandal:

Lower status chance / second (10.0% vs. 25.0%).
Smaller Magazine (60 vs. 90).
Lower damage on secondary attack (200/400 vs. 250/500).
Replaces the Madurai Pol polarity slot with a Vazarin Pol polarity.

Damage-wise, Quanta family is not really a favorable choice, imo.
However I saw some people is really good at using them, corrosive build or etc, with combustion beam. But again, I'd rather choose another weapon. That's me though.
Also, better to wait Baro rather than buying off from other player. Price is skyrocketing lately.

That insane damage thing with Mag was apparently a bug, you won't deal too much damage with it now anyway

If you're planning on using something for Mag, get the Lanka.

Honestly, the regualar quanta still is amazing. Dont waste money to get a little bit of extra damage for the mag "strat", and plus, lots of people used the quanta as their high tier weapon before the release of the quanta vandal. Good luck tenno.
