How do I scan cephalon fragments?

find them in mission dont have a screenshot atm. and than scan them with a codex/synthesis scanner.

equip a codex scanner in your gear, and if you have a loot detector mod. Then search all the map (they spawn on every missions...)

How do I equip the scanner in my gear

in the arsenal, bottom left menu "gear", a wheel like thing will appear. Select a slot then select the codex scanner then hit equip.

to use in mission hold "q" ( "q" is default in qwerty, "a" in azerty) and select the scanner with your pointer. Then just scan with your mouse fire buttons.
Press F to switch back to your secondary after scanning.
