Level MK1-Braton to 30, or start using Braton?

My MK1 is at level 13 now.
Should I keep levelling my MK1 to 30 and then sell it, or should I just leave it at 13 and start using the normal Braton?

Level it up to 30 first. That's max level and MK1 stops then giving mastery rank points. Even if you hate a weapon ALWAYS level it up to 30.

The reason you should level the weapons to 30 before selling them is to earn the mastery from the weapon. Mastery will allow you to gain rank levels, which in turn will unlock additional weapons to use. Some of the best weapons in the game will require a high rank. I personally just bought slots for all the weapons and I keep them, being that the time I invested in leveling them was worth more then the plat I spent to save them. Plus I love to fire up my MK1 Braton with a stock colored Excalibure and lay waste to a level in a way no new player could.

Don't forget that the higher mastery rank you are, the more you can trade every day, if you're into that.

If you would like using the Braton ASAP, just do that. Keep the level 13 Mk1 in your inventory for later, or when running low end missions(maybe helping out some friends).

At least the Dark Sectors make it easier to level up certain weapons - need to finish off my Skana, personally, and the Dark Sector Defence mission on Ceres gives bonus XP for melee kills so it's perfect for getting those last three levels for it.

If you are having a real tough time using it because you are killing enemies very slowly, get the Braton. Just be sure not to sell it.

If you're doing fine, keep using it for a while.
