how do i level up mastery rank?

my warframe is lvl 10 and my weapons are around the same too. how can i level my mastery rank up... just play?

In order to level up Mastery Rank, you need to level up gear (frames,weapons,sentinels and their weapons, and now Kubrows). And when the XP is enough your Profile will have an orange pulse, you click on it and take the test.

Just a little note here. You CAN'T gain mastery rank from warframes/ weapons/ sentinels more than ONCE. When they reach level 30 you must switch weapon/ warframe/ sentinel. (Resetting level to 0 with Forma or rebuilding WON'T WORK)

You gain mastery points for leveling your weapons and warframes up to level 30. Once you see your mastery bar under your profile blinking, you can take the mastery test for you next mastery level.

I think I read in the wiki that you get masterypoints for doing maps you havent done yet too.

Level weapons, warframes, setninels.. what ever you can level up, gives you mastery exp.

This is true, though it's minimal. About 68 per node for around 17,000 experience in total.

And I'll add some details: Sentinels, Kubrows, and Warframes give 6,000 mastery points. Weapons give 3,000. Once they reach level 30, of course, which is 200 and 100 per level respectively.

Just adding specifics here, but as of now it's 246 nodes for a total of 14746 XP total.
