I never felt like there was a reason to use any other frame than it before unreasonable nerf. Now I just use other warframes more often since it is too much bother doing some missions with Excal since exalted blade damage got nerfed to the ground compared to what it used to be.
My only problem with Volt is that he automatically switches to secondaries when picking up the shield, but doesn't switch back when you drop it. That's annoying. Other than that - he's pretty awesome.
The frame that was truly nerfed hard is Trinity. Still, I think it's for the better. Using the floor smashing 99.9% DR build was boring as hell, some auras and other healers in party could have disrupted your flow. Now you can run some versatile builds with 3 perfectly viable abilites and using any melee you want for actually killing the stuff. Instagibbing anyone with timed 1+2 combo was fun, but surely broken, no wonder it was fixed. You can still eat enemies of any level alive under several seconds using proper EV-build.
The frame which suffered some of the most crippling nerf hits is Hydroid. He got hit by "no energy gain when using channeling ability" and "afk timer" nerfs, "Nullifiers", that made his Undertow much less desirable for MD and Interception missions. Pilfering nerf made his max str build to become energy inefficient without Zenurik and much less efficient at farming than slash-Nekros (especially than current super-strong Nekros version). Most of these things weren't even anti-Hydroid focused, but as pretty situational and ineffective in general warframe, he suffered from these the most. He is really something between super-squishy Inaros and greatly weakened Nekros, currently.
Before the augment and slash waves nerfs, nearly nothing stood in the way of me doing 3-4 hour long t4s sessions. I dialed down the sessions to 2 hours then tried some other frames that would be fun to do hour long t4s's in but none were as fun.
But then they removed void keys ;-;
Although I understand why polorize was nerfed, and I like the new magnetize and pull, I really miss the old polorize. It really made corpus sorties a thousand times easier. Now I have break out ashhole whenever I see a corpus defense/interception sortie in order to keep my team alive and pass.
Mag was good too but people abused her greedy pull in draco along with Mesa's 4.
when a frame is good, nerf it to hell - Community's logic
