Long answer, gotta consult to wikia for this.
To the previous poster's question, like Kawa said, affinity you generate yourself with weapon kills goes 50% to the killing weapon and 50% to your warframe. If killing an enemy generates 100 affinity, everyone in range gets that much, but how it is divided for each player is based on the stated ratios.
Why do you state such untruth when it was said right a couple times before:
Affinity from other player kills are distributed 25% to your frame and in total 75% evenly to your carried weapons.
So a rule of thumb:
If you want to level your frame as fast as possible - kill the enemies yourself with your frames abilities. If you want to level ONE weapon, only equip this one and let other players doing the killing (use a buff or healing frame). If you want to level Frame and/or a bunch of weapons evenly equip them all and let other people doing the killing.
In most cases it makes no sense to force level the frame or a single weapon, since you can't use the leveld stuff to 'pull' your own equipment afterwards.
