I did a quest for the Arbiters of Hexis, i noticed you have to pick up 8 medallions, i found all the medallions. The question is, what is the purpose of collecting this medallions? WATCH ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ARGUING ON ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FOR A SIMPLE QUESTION

When at a relay, you can go to that syndicates room and turn in the medallions for extra reputation.

Syndicate Medallions are objects that can be traded for Standing in a respective Syndicate's enclave in a Relay. Medallions can be found on the daily Syndicate Alert missions as physical objects scattered throughout the map that must be interacted with to pick up

As mentioned, you exchange them for rep/standing in their syndicate room in the relay.
Also worth noting that for each syndicate rank up you must give them a item and you cannot gain more standing with them until you have done this, but medallions can be saved for later.
