Can I Link my Warframe Account To My Steam Account?
I downloaded warframe from their website but when i saw the Steam cosmetics, i wanted to play the game through Steam. Is there any way to transfer my Warframe account to steam? (i don't want to re-install WF through steam though)

I think the only way is to re-install, ofc you'll keep your user as thats server-bound and not client-bound

You're sure i'll keep all my stuff and progression? If that's the case, it would be great :) anyway thanks for this answer :)

You can also check your account on the warframe website then go to account managment and it should say if your account is linked or not.

You need to just log in to Warframe[warframe.com] webside and in your "Account Management" screen (upper-right) in "User Information" tab pick "Link to Steam Account". That's it, you don't need to reinstall anything.

And no, even if you'd delete the game, you WILL NOT LOSE YOUR PROGRESSION. This game stores your account's data on its own server.

You lose nothing by linking to steam. But ... I have found that achievements that you have already passed in the Steam version of Warframe by not starting right out of the gate on Steam won't unlock. I have a few early game cheevos, such as Add a Mod to a Frame for First Time that just wont unlock. Even though I have 5 frames and installed lots of mods now. Small price to pay I guess.

i'm not sure if you can "just" link the account to steam when you had it not installed via steam in the first place (might be wrong though, since wf works a bit different as other games that uses the workshop items for sells). BUT, you could try this one if there aren't any easier option: start the download of warframe via steam and exit steam as soon as it starts downloading and tells you it will do so in the background. then move the whole wf folders from your existent installation into the place where steam have created the folder structure already - see that it is correctly in place. after thats done, start steam again, wait a few minutes for steam to compare the data and let it do the rest - it should now keep a great portion of the data moved by you and will only download the part that differs... sadly, the steam version is most of the time outdated compared to the one you have when using the launcher - so in the end, the launcher too will probably load a big amount of data as soon as you start it. still, that might save you some time if you internet connection is a bit small.
you might also ask the support about the linking issue of course - maybe even b4 doing anything else ^^
and no, you wont lose anything when moving to steam (all account information are server-sided, not local on you computer) - but you might be unable to achive some steam achivements if you already got them in warframe b4 (not that it is much of a bother, though).
