Only ways to get non syndicate syandanas is by either trading stuff for plat and then buying, getting one for ducats from Void trader or by spending cash.
prime junks can be converted into plat (search for buyers there are times that people want to buy prime junks for 5plats)
prime junks can be also converted into ducats for baro ki tere sydana
you can also go conclave (pvp system in warframe) at high level standing you can get a syandana
there are also free syandana for sydicates
The decent corrupted mods from vault runs can sell for around 20 - 40 plat per and you can use http://warframe.market/ to price check or sell things outright. warframe.market is a great way for new players to get into trading and learn baseline prices for things, so they can avoid getting scammed themselves
------------------------------------
Easiest way I find for new players to start making plat is to do Ororkin Derelict Capture (ODC) vault runs. Which are pretty easy to do and barely take less than 5 minutes to complete. If you don't know how to do vault runs then it's basically this. You'll also need mastery rank 2 to start trading with other players and preferably be in a clan so you can invite people to the dojo to trade with them.
You get the dragon key blueprints from your clans dojo in the Orokin Lab and void traces are required to craft them (needing 10 to make one key). Then you put only ONE of the keys on your Gear tab, also note that the keys have a negative effect attached to them so you'll need to pick something that you don't mind using. Next you'll need a group of three other players (just say that you're hosting vault runs in the Recruit channel for instance: H ODC vault runs) who each will wear the other keys in their gear tab, then select ODC like normal. Someone or multiple people can go after the target and the rest can look for the vault which is this door with four golden slots on it.
If you do find a vault then waypoint it with 'G' (default key) and then walk up to it to see which key is needed, then call out which key is needed to open it. When someone is going after to open the vault the rest of the squad should head to extraction to make the process faster. When you extract and finish the mission you'll get an Orokin Cipher (for Hidden Messages) and a random corrupted mod. Some of the decent corrupted mods you'll want to watch out for are: Heavy Caliber, Transient Fortitude, Narrow Minded, Fleeting Expertise, Overextended, and Blind Rage. .
My tips if you're doing vault runs:
-Make extra dragon keys so people don't have to wait for you to craft them (people don't like to wait if there are going to be multiple runs)
-Make lots of ODC keys (again so people don't have to wait especially if you're hosting)
-Try to find a Volt to take the Hobbled key if possible (so you can still make use of the speed boost he has), Inaros for the Decaying key (since he doesn't have shields to begin with), and anyone else can take the other two keys (like Trinity for Extinguished for instance)
-After capturing the target just ignore the Juggernaut spawn and don't kill enemies to spawn it
-If you find the vault and have waypointed it then head straight to extraction so you can save time and if you're lucky your other teammates other than the key who is needed to open the vault will do the same thing
-Be sure to search around the starting area becuse sometimes the vault can spawn near spawn and likewise spawn near extraction
Vault lingo (for when calling out keys):
-Hob = Hobbled
-Bleed = Bleeding
-Decay = Decaying
-Ext = Extinguished
(Be sure to memorize those so you know what to do if your key is called)
