How Good Is Subsumed Thermal Sunder?
Is it not worth it without gauss' other abilities to back it up? I heard you can't armorstrip with it.

Has anyone experimented with this ability after putting it on another frame?

With the "Thermal Transfer" Augment it's ok... Really depends on what you're using it for.

Titania with thermal sunder is a thing apparently. Don't know any builds, how it's used or what it's used for though. Found out about it when players asked for such builds in Q&A, then sort of saw it in action when randoms were using it.

Putting thermal sunder on titania works for speedrunning fissure missions. Don't think it really gets used for anything other than that.

I was planning to experiment with it on my trinity, I have tried stuff like roar, silence, shock trooper, smite infusion, and breach surge. Honestly looking for a way to have versatility in bringing my damage up as well. So far Roar seems to be the best one, but I'm always looking for new ways to have even better results and damage output.

Another thing to note is I have never built gauss before (building him right now after farming him) but heard good things about this ability like how it can nuke and stuff. Though without his other abilities Idk what the limits are or how good the ability is on it's own.

Thermal sunder is a fairly popular subsume but I find it negligibly useful on most builds.

i don't understand that ability and didn't bother to explore it, but from what i see people do use it with harrow other than just on gauss.

I use it on Harrow.

Heat Thermal Sunder deals a lot of damage, and if Thurible is active you get energy back per kill allowing you to set self-sustaining, armour-stripping DoT fields. Setting a Cold field and then a Heat field right afterward also pulls enemies towards you, if you're into that sort of thing.

Thermal Sunder may also be useful with the recent Archon mods, since it's a single ability that gives access to both heat and cold.

So, with this build we just
1. spam thermal sunder + thurible
2. parkour around
3. enemy wipeout
4. profits?

its something like old ember 4th then. seem fun. i guess i should try it later.

Haven't tried it for a while, so I don't know if it still works, but Thermal Sunder on Limbo was rather nice for when I was feeling lazy; it could be used while in the rift.
Probably mostly something for the star chart. At least, it might take quite a while to kill SP enemies with it.

With Titania, you can sometimes clear lower level relic missions in 1 minute by just moving forward and doing the fire claps whenever enemies are nearby. Any trash mobs under lvl 30~ will die in one hit typically, higher level stuff usually 2. Seems to be the main use from what I've seen.
