2FA Question

I activated two-factor authentication last night. Logged in again today. It doesn't ask me for the email code, I didn't get the fae step ephemera, and I can't try to reactivate it again cause it just says it's already activated. Anyone else having this issue?

It asked me the code but I didn't receive Fae Step ephemera. My friend has exact same issue as you and he did all required steps yesterday.

Do you use steam or WF launcher? I'm wondering if that would make a difference.

meaning? they just ask for an email code when you login. Or it's supposed to.

Yes! If you already have 2FA enabled, you can log in anytime to receive the inbox message from Ordis containing the Fae Step Ephemera."

so if I can't sign up for it they can't send me the email with the code .... right?

It will only send you a code to your email you log into Warframe with once for every unique computer you log in from.

So as long as you use only one computer you only need the code once. No phone required, just alt-tab your email program.

DE is also restricting trades to 2fa accounts so it becomes almost mandatory unless you like farming for everything.

Nice ... so the people who can least afford an expensive monthly fee to a phone will be forced into paying premium priced from DE and not allowed to trade with other players... superb....

You have a computer. Why the hell would you need a modern phone to access your emails? How do you get to your emails normally?

I seriously don't get what you're going on about in this post and the one above^.
All the 2FA does is send you an email when you first log in from a unique IP, and you can obviously read that email on your own computer, no phone or phone numbers required

It doesn't require phone, thank Odin for that. I already have Blizzard and Steam mobile Authenticators in my phone. It sends code in your email, give the code and you're done.

Ah .. silly me then... still not sure why they bother with the "sign-up" thing when they know our IP and email already.


OK so now when I want to trade I need to do an email verify for each trade? Seriously?

Oh well my steam inventory is stuffed due to this nonsense as well..

I think they wrote that before the Mainline update got delayed, or something. Anyway, the 2FA thing and Ephemera don't come until the update comes.
