Ember any good?

I haven't really played any other "Magic"/Power frames before, this is my first, and I'm liking it. But I'm not sure if it's a good frame? It doesn't have any polarities, so it looks like I'm going to have to dump a lot of forma into her, but will it be worth it?

Ember is good, Ember prime is even better, well moded can be a great CC and buff team mates very well at the same time.

and you dont need that much forma if you know what are you doing, i just forma my ember prime 2 times and is doing amazing for me.

CC? Buffs? What abilities are you talking about? All the ones I have do just damage

you need to use her augment mods... as a dps frame she insta kills most lower level enmies but higher levels it becomes worthless... so firequake causes world on fire to knockdown what gets damaged by it her augment for her third ability causes enemies on fire from it to freak out... her fireball augment causes allies hit by it to do extra fire damage combined with her other ability that causes enemies to take more fire damage creates a pretty substantial damage buff.... these are the areas ember shines...

the syndicates have the augment mods just about every frame has them they change how their abilities work.... you can buy them from other players as well for usually around 10-20 platinum each... check the warframe wiki's warframe augment page if you want to check out all of them there are far too many to list...

For a returning player I would suggest looking through the Warframe wiki for any information on this game.

To see if you would think Ember might be a good frame for you? I would suggest watching some YouTube on her to see what she's good at.

You do not need firequake mod unless you are playing lvl 50+ missions & for some boss fights

Ember does not need any augment mods. The augment for her 4 is the only one that's worth using but not really needed because enemies usually get CC'd the moment they begin burning and you can also stun them using 2.

Like setting stuff on fire? Enjoy burning your enemies to a crisp? Want to prove pryo eximus who has the better fireblast? If you answer yes to any of these questions then youl love ember. Also forma was max I would put would be 4-5 depending on your build but I get by with just 2 forma in her.

Two words: Flash Accelerant. A pretty fantastic augment that allows allies to cast at 50% faster and also lets them make use of the heat damage multiplier from accelerant.

I was just surprised to hear that Ember's abilities do not do sufficient damage at higher levels. Is that true even if you mod for that? I am pretty new to the game, and this is my first Power frame, so this is pretty new to me. If Ember's abilities aren't good enough damage, what Power frame's are?

most frame abilities drop off when it comes to damage at high levels... like 50+... so cc becomes more and more important and is also why you will want to bring good weapons as well... few dps frames scale well into high levels equinox is one since maim stores the damage you do in it allowing you to drop massive nukes... mirage's dps scales with what weapon you use so she is a very potent damage dealer...

against none armored foes though like infested embers damage still performs quite well until ancient healers adn disruptors start to mess everything up... but that being said in higher level missions if you throw fire quake on and mod for range she becomes pretty decent cc that also does damage... I take my ember into the sorties all teh time and she performs quite well depending on the mission type...

Casting speed does not matter for most frames and for those that it does people have already natural talent equipped. As for the buff it only buffs heat dmg, almost no one uses non-combined elements.

Ember is still the best frame for killing under lvl35 enemies. That said she's excellent vs higher level enemies too if you utilize her 2 to buff weapon dmg.

Ash is currently the best ability frame vs higher level enemies, might as well say that he's the best frame overall. But he's getting nerfed. Mesa and Atlas are also very good. Excalibur too, but he's not as fast at clearing, still very fast though. Obviously there are many other good frames too but these are really the go-to frames if you want to clear enemies using nothing but abilities.

The augment ADDS heat damage to their weapons. ADDS. Not just buffs existing heat damage, accelerant already buffs exisitng heat damage. Also, the casting speed stacks with natural talent.
