The problem is not the angel itself. When you are soloing the angel you will need someone to defend console or exolizers and vice versa. So when the rest of the team are undergeared we usually told them to do some things one at a time. Because there are people who want to also farm voidplum or lanthorn. That's why I brought up communication. For me when I saw their mastery below 20, it's easier to ask them just do the angel first or last together. But even after saying that, some players failed to understand and for example, activated defense console right in front of the angel where the angel and a trax one shot the console right after the angel back from 2nd stage recovery.
I didn't blame them because it is what it is. This is that kind of game where we have to deal with that kind of thing. It's not their fault because they probably new or simply think they can handle it. All I want is to share these experiences because it happens to many players, so we can figure out something as community or maybe getting a micro changes from DE.
Besides I'm not only talking for myself but also for other players who won't be able to solo those missions.
Fun Fact - The Mighty Mote is capable of killing SP Angels.
Even further, what I really wanted to hear is the conversations about maybe the system itself. Because what Warframe did with Zariman's missions are multiple tasks at the same time that can failed each other, which is good because it pushes players to really work as a team and communicate. Other looter shooter I played like for example Destiny or Outriders, will have multiple quest and bounties that doesn't affect other task completion or other player's progression. And when it came to linear quest like Zariman's, the tasks always arranged in 'checkpoints'. So all players can focus to do the tasks one at a time and when it fails, the mission won't failed completely but back to checkpoint to give at least one chance to redo where you can talk to your teammates to maybe change strategy without completely losing rewards from previous try. Which I also understands its not applicable to Warframe, and it doesn't need to be done like that. But just a good comparison as basics to add to the conversation.
imho, pre-made group will solve the problem or solo the mission.
i know, too much to do, too many loot to search, yadda yadda yadda. but everything has pro and con. right?
also, if you choose to jumping to public match (non pre-made group), you will find many type of players.
by calling yourself "vet" and calling others "unexperienced", i assume you are high level I-can-solo-everything kind of player. in that case, someone accidentally activate an Angel should NOT be a problem for you. Because as you know, plan doesn't always as smooth as intended. no?
edit: sorry for my english
Another example, while doing mobile defense I made a quick turn for a voidplum in a tunnel and the others rush to next console. Even though they've been warned, after they activated the console, one of them also woke up the angel just few meters from the console. When I saw that, I jump right back out from the tunnel and rush to their location but mission failed before I get there. It took about less than 15 seconds for the console to be destroyed. And before that last console, we decided to spent the whole time looking for other resources and containers.
I was like, well, this happens. But the other guy were loosing it and shouting in the chat. He was like, WHY DID YOU... I SAID... I TOLD YOU GUYS...
Watching players like that probably one of the reason I shared this. Especially in Asia servers where a lot of players only speaking their own first language, everyone seems to be doing their own thing when sometimes you need to communicate.
