How to make Octavia's songs great.
so i was watching Youtube, and found this comment:
I remember getting octavia and thinking of all the cool♥♥♥♥♥♥I was gonna make with the mandachord and how it'd revitalize warframe since I'd get to make cool music to bring with me.

Then I got the mandachord and couldn't make a single one of the ideas I had. It was horribly limited, there weren't enough instrument packs (Not a single one of them are "good" in my opinion either, just "passable") you can only have 16 notes per layer which incredibly limits creativity, the BPM was too slow to work with anything, you can't pitch shift or hold notes, the bass layer isn't on metronome melody is, and it's NOT EVEN A FULL OCTAVE ON A WARFRAME CALLED OCTAVIA, THE ♥♥♥♥?

No ♥♥♥♥ing wonder people want to mute them, nobody can make good music with the mandachord, and the fact that you can't playlist through all your creations or make longer songs than a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ loop so even okay tracks grate on you. The abilities I have less of a problem with, it's just how limited mandachord is. They were worried about people making ♥♥♥♥♥♥ music with octavia? Well that's all that can be made with the current limitations.
adding more notes (or uncapping them altogether), allowing the shifting of BPM and pitch, and making a note hold it's sound, and whatever that other one with the bass and melody. what do you guys think? personally i'd love these to be added.

credit to the Youtube user WMan37 for the comment.

Besides that, I'm sure anyone would be fine with being able to make more complicated music. But it has to be held to a standard so that no two Octavias can be so drastically different that you can't keep up with them. That's probably also why the songs play the way they do, with no way to change the BPM or anything. Because it'd get too complicated ingame, and people ALREADY are lazy and just make "non-music" that rapidly spam the same single note constantly with no volume. Because they can't be assed to make the music, and because they want to optimize for gameplay, not be creative.

These suggestions have been requested in the official forums and during one Devstream they said that they are aware of this.

Problem is when there are more than one Octavia on the team.

makes sense, i'd love to make my own little Octavia songs though or imitate some of my favorites like these:

i think the whole reason that Octavias currently make garbage music is partly at fault for how limiting it really is, pair that with it being optimal for DPS and i could see the reasoning of "well if this is how i'm supposed to play, i might as well build for DPS rather than good music."

i think this problem can be solved by a simple change, the more a note repeats in the same fashion the less it's bonuses will be. pair this with the changes mentioned on top and i can see people making good varied music.
