I really don't understand the problem. They're just mundane shooter controls that do a few extra tricks when combined. Same movement inputs as any other shooter; WASD, run, crouch, aim. The moves aren't even that crazy. The roll and double jump are common enough. Jumping out of a slide to go farther is something we've been doing since at least Megaman X (use Staticor for the full effect). Aim glide exists specifically to make it easier to shoot things while in the air.
Just because a frame can do This One Weird Trick That Bosses HATE doesn't invalidate all the others. Yeah, Titania and Wukong can fly freely. Limbo can walk through whole levels. Valkyr can be invulnerable. Chroma can solo Profit Taker. Ivara can cheese spy missions. Mesa just is an aimbot. They ALL do stuff like this. They're ALL easy mode for something.
Banshee - Allow me to introduce myself
His cloud walker makes him:
- Go invisible
- Heal for 1% per meter travelled
- Stun enemies
- Travel at 30 meters per second.
Only one of those things is about parkour. Whether or not Wukong has a stupidly good kit and disproportionately used is not an indicator that people want him just for parkour, or that parkour is broken.
Because a frame has the ability to bypass a mechanic and you often see them gunning it towards the exit doesn't even mean that the player taking it doesn't want to use the mechanic. They happen to be in a frame that can do it.
second of all, you pretty much confirmed what I just said
without cloudwalker Wukong would get no action
also his other 3 abilities are easily outdone by other frames
I get that wukong mains are mad that he is the noob king and that his cloudwalker is the most noob friendly and one of the cheesiest powers in the game but it's blatantly obvious why players choose him because if it was for any of his other powers there are, again, many other frames that do it much better and the actual stats recorded are literal proof of that because it shows that a wide range of MR's choose wukong regularly which means he does something so well it's stupid easy and therein lies the point, his cloudwalker ability is op to the point ppl will choose him just because it's stupid easy
any other time there was a warframe that did something so 'stupid easy' it was nerfed again and again until people didn't use that frame for that thing anymore and even after all the nerfs to cloudwalker its still the cheesiest movement power in the game so the whole point of me saying why not give a universal parkour buff because there are clearly huge numbers of players who choose wukong SPECIFICALLY because that's what he does
Look mate, I'm not going to keep going back and forth with you. Your writing style is incredibly hard to read and, frankly, it gives me a headache trying to reply to it when you write in this way.
If you want to believe your anecdotal, biased opinion is right, then go for it. No one else has problems with parkour. Of the 20 or so people in this topic that have replied, 16 have directly opposed your point of view and not ONE of them has agreed with you. Not a single one. Maybe think about that, or maybe you're the only right one and everyone else is wrong, who knows.
If parkour is too hard, why don't people play more mobile frames like Zephyr, who has reduced gravity and an air-boost ability? (Along with other useful abilities like hovering, air-bubble protection, and CC tornados) Last I checked she was still relatively unpopular.
Which is sad, because she's freaking awesome.
It's the default method of movement for anyone with more than a few hours in the game.
