They could have made the archon shards be like hanging on our wings like our waifu flandre scarlet but they choose the boring lazy way. Literally would have been a great idea smh de always gotta be trash at what they do.

I suppose their logic is that the shards are shoved into the archons, therefore said shards are shoved into the warframes. Though it would be a lot cooler if they simply floated around the Warframe.

Because that's literally how they work, presumably? Archons are just possessed warframes and those shards are sticking out straight from their chests, which is where we rip them from.
If it works for their warframes - surely it works for ours the same way. Just stab the thing through and vuala - better warframe!

Basically. Except DMC5 did it way cooler. But i'm afraid asking DE to make a special "archon-stabbed" devil-trigger version of every warframe is too much of a task for poor modelers.

They also said that the positions of the stabbed shards would be customizable. I'm assuming it will be a level of control similar to how holstered melee weapon customization works. They also heavily emphasized that it's just a WIP and not the final look

Personally I would like to be able to drag and drop where the shard appears in the frame, so it wouldn't look so random like it did in the devstream preview. Imagine sticking a shard in a Warframe's head like the shrapnel stuck in Venom Snake's forehead.

im mostly fine with my frame impaled with spikes i alredy moved my sword to a wierd angle so it looks like my frame has been stabed

still working on trying to make my frame look like its been stabed by as many weapons as possible the white whale is now a frame captain ahab get your ship and crew and hunt it down

but effemera? probs should have been a sadana instead (those weird capes) as the saturn six armor back plate is simmilar size and dont move
