Why are Archon hunts weekly?

each Warframe can have up to 5 shards there are 50 unique warframes so to get enough shards for the current 50 unique Warframes would take almost 5 years. burning bile resources is not a credible way of being able to switch out shards as bile is the most time consuming to farm.

fixes:
swap bile cost to oxides
and/or
make Archon hunts Daily

Now that the Veilbreak missions are out you must reach HOME standing rank to get another shard per week. so from 5 years to get all current unique frames 5 shards to 2.5 years. how nice of DE

To give players at least a reason to login weekly. After I did my first hunt I was done, and now I will wait for next week with new Kahl stuff and the next hunt.

my first question is why you expect to put shards on 50 warframes when you probably only use 10 anyways

and starting next week you can get more from kahl (i heard its in chippers shop so idk if theres a limit yet if its also 1 per week or what)

Textbook definition, yep. The game is free so I can't really complain too much. It does seem a bit... heavier, than usual though.

A key element of warframe has always been UTTER DISREGARD for the players' time. It is probably some kind of IQ test. We fail when we max out our collection.

ALL of the new content is weekly. Even the new "faction" of Khal is gonna be limited to 1 mission each week. And with that new currency, which is limited to 1 mission each week, you can buy new stuff. This is, by far, the worst timegated update we had. And I hope they redesign it. If not and this will become the new standard for warframe: I am out. Warframe has enough timegates at it is.

Yeah the Archon Hunts should be daily like the sortie. Considering it has the same mission structure. My guess is they keep it like this until Duviri is released and then make it daily so returning/new players can catch up. It being weekly is most likely to slow down people like me who still log in everyday and can complete the 3 archon hunt missions solo in 10-20 minutes.

yeah timegating stuff is pretty normal esp. for f2p but it is kinda funky that it's weekly instead of daily
i guess it's just something for the endgame vets to come back to anyway, no doubt they've noticed that a lot of players come back for the latest update then don't touch the game again until the next so this is just one of those things. y'know?

If you want to upgrade 50 warframes with 5 shards each then it will take you about 5 years

If you want to upgrade 1 warframe to have every combination of 5 shards that will take you a little over 6 months

Lets also not forget that there are better version of shards that can drop as well.

So if you are player who suffer from OCD optimization I wish you all the best.

how bad are you at math? thats 15 weeks... barely 4 months not 6, which the taushards are suppose to be 20% so if you got 1 ever 5 weeks it is, then sure 125 weeks (there maybe repeat drops if youre going to be that picky well guess what get a perfect riven then)
