Please DE give us our ammo back.
We playing a horde shooter & there isn't enough ammo for weapons anymore.
Please revert the ammo changes. Please DE.
I don't want to go back to the melee meta we had for 7 years..
I dislike how harsh they nerfed AOE also, them weapons take a real investment of forma & real time & they are literally unusable now. PVE game who cares if we can blow up 10 enemy's at a time, it's a horde shooter after all DE.

Patch literally just came out. If they find they need to rework things they'll do it. Right not the meta is shifting and if you can't handle that then I don't know what to tell you. Maybe stick with games that don't have expansions or updates.
i wouldn't care about swapping if swapping to my secondary didn't automatically swap back to my primary half the time, but devs seem unable to simply add a "next weapon" button that i can map to my scroll wheel, so here we are.

Stop spamming your weapon swap.

It's a bit clunky for sure.. Needs to be a button to go to weapon 1 & a button to go to weapon 2 & 3. that would smooth it out for sure. Hope they add that down the road.
Ammo is still a no issue. Most primaries can be equipped with the Vigilante Supplies mod... So, secondary ammo drops can refill your primary... Problem solved

Only thing that has changed is that aoe weapons have less blast rage and no longer do headshots

It seems DE listen to the community after all. Hotfix for some of the stuff they straight up broke for no reason and more to come.
I mean it ain't much but it's something.

The whiners prevail once more. And warframe will continue to be stuck as a AoE spamming sperg shooter. Pablo is great, but the new dev team needs to harden the f up.

Bramma works fine. At worst you'll have to carry a ammo pack or swap to your KuvaNukor from time to time.
This ammo update is so horribly impelemented, I went from having 1600 max ammo on the ignis wraith, too 400, and wukong clone chews 200 of it in 5 seconds now. Didnt realise I was playing a phone game all of a sudden, whats next? Paying credits to repair our weapon while an ad plays between missions?

Been ages since I played Warframe so I'm out of the loop here. But looking to come back with the new updates.

What exactly was changed to the ammo mechanics in the game?

I'm pretty much exclusively a machine gunner kinda guy so anything with a fast fire rate (grakata lover...) or massive magazines (supra is still like 43% of my primary weapon usage to this day / love me some trumna, gorgon, soma, etc) are my absolute favorite weapons to use. Personally, I wish there was a Warframe specifically dedicated to machine gun style weapons and massive wasting of ammunition.

Anything that messes with ammo could have a huge effect on my enjoyment of this game.

So what changed and how badly will it screw an MG'r like me?

Probably not too much difference for you, then. Ammo drops less commonly, but there are also fewer types (Rifle, Shotgun, and Sniper consolidated into Primary). Ammo pickups are also worth slightly more. I'd imagine you'd come out even, if not slightly better.

The primary complaint people have with the ammo changes is how they affect certain weapons. Ammo Pickup is now a per-weapon trait. Shotguns/Snipers in general have slightly lower values, similar to how sniper ammo drops gave less sniper ammo than a rifle ammo drop gave rifle ammo.

Some weapons got hit particularly hard on the Ammo Pickup value, particularly launchers. Kuva Bramma, Kuva Ogris, Kuva Zarr, Lenz, and Proboscis Cernos all have Ammo Pickup values of 1.

Ah thanks for that! That doesn't really sound that bad.

It almost sounds like it would make the kind of weapons I like more valuable overall. Previously the game seemed pretty far titled in the favor of shotguns and sniper weapons since ammo was overall quite plentiful, despite the numerous types, and they were easily the most powerful weapons. Basically every boss / event situation seems to have the meta solution be to use some form of ultra powerful one-hit or mass hit sniper or shotgun. Can't remember any events where my supra felt like it was truly viable choice.

Limiting launchers sounds fairly reasonable. When I last played massive aoe killing weapons seemed to be the only things that anyone really used.
Almost forgot to ask...

Did they also modify ammo regenerating weapons?

I mean the Bubonico is a shotgun and launcher combo (and damn it looks nice on a Nidus) so I can't imagine that would be untouched or it would likely just become the go to weapon to avoid the ammo changes.
