Syndicate choice
So, if im totally new to the game, should i just refrain from choosing a Syndicate since i could get -rep for someone that has a reward i want down the line? Since i dont know what warframes i really like yet i have NO way to know which i would choose

Syndicates don't matter you can always trade for rewards from the others, you can also change it at any time.

It's best to start early IMO. With 4 friends and 2 enemies, the coverage of frames you will have will be very large, and the cap on negative rep is relatively low, compared to positive rep.

I'll just advice that if you choose Steel Meridian or Red Veil as your focus, you will have easier time being friends with 4 syndicates, than with other choices.
I would suggest picking whichever syndicate you like best, theme-wise. Avoiding a syndicate because you're afraid you'll regret the decision down the road is an example of "letting perfect be the enemy of good." Pledging to a syndicate gets you some nice stuff, and you can always change your mind and work for a different syndicate.

The syndicates, what you can know to help you:
- you can change at any time
- if you change and lose rep, and then change back, you don't have to 'pay' again to rank up after getting your points high enough.
- the main rewards, special mods, are redundant across several so if you can make 4 happy (easy to do) you can access all the mods.
- the weapons are cool, but if you want you can trade for or earn (as above, by changing allegiance). The weapons are niche toys, mostly. A couple of them have interesting uses, for example the crossbow pistol restores power, and is a good pick for ivara to stay in stealth if your build lacks cost reduction mods.
- after a rather short time all I ever buy are relic packs, and they all offer that.

how to make 4 happy...
I did veil and loka, which slowly leveled up perrin and meridian. If you look at how those interact, you will see what I mean. I never level loka or perrin directly, because that hurts my rep, but sticking to veil and loka I never lose points with anyone except hexis & suda who hate me to death anyway.

It should be noted that it's essentially designed so you can work with three syndicates.

Arbiters, Cephalon, and Steel
or
New, Red, and Perrin

Just choose the three you like the most. You can trade for other rewards. Except the syandanas I believe but the syndicate syandanas aren't all that amazing anyways.

Honestly, the best one to pick is New Loka as is gives you Ancients specters (gives a huge damage reduction in aoe) which are very helpful for defenses and all. otherwise, you have to craft those specters which can be tedious
(other than that mods and all can be traded so it doesn't really matter)

Easy choice, Steel Meridian.

>Hek mod at rank 4
>Vaykor Hek at rank 5

Just wondering... I've started with New Loka and Perrin Sequence and then got Red Veil way later on. Amazing how I've levelled 1st Red' farther than Perrin' (wihich I've started with) or 'Loka, which was my 2nd choice. :creatiblock:
I still have to pass Perrin' and 'Loka into rank 4 and Red' into rank 5[/i], so is it advisable for me to wait to level those into max or at least 4 before picking, for ex., 'Meridian? I'd like to hear your PoV, and (constructive) criticism upon this matter if possible. :winter2019happybulb:

Thanks in advance, B. :arcstone: . (Be cool.)

I'd say keep leveling perrin and loka first, new loka has Ancient specters which are pretty handy. Red veil can wait, since its ally is an enemy of loka+perrin.

Pick a syndicate for sure. There's no real benefit to NOT having one, besides not being targeted by others, which isn't a big deal anyways.

Early on it can be hard to pick because the main benefit is warframe augment mods, and you won't know who you want to focus on yet, but generally speaking, you can sustain 3 syndicates easily, and between three syndicates, you should cover almost everything. When you max out those syndicates and got all you want from them, you can start working on the others and gradually phase them out.
