Primed shred or Primed sure footed?
Is sure footed an exilus mod... not sure I would swap out with handspring if it isn't.

Sure footed is an exilus mod, and arent these like two entirely different mods? This isnt really too comparable, but id prefer primed shred.

Shred definitely

You can learn to roll/ jump over MOA's stomp shockwave and roll to avoid Ancient/ Scorpion hook but you can't shoot wall until bullets finally go through.

Get Handspring mod if getting knocked down is a problem.

I wonder why people recommend Primed Shred if that kind of mods are never run in a serious build at all. Primed Sure Footed is definitely wanted on Chroma and Inaros, specially if you plan to solo with them as intended. To do spiders, even in group, this mod is a must if you don't plan to live on the floor, otherwise, enjoy the cold snow in your face. You will get both eventually, but get Sure Footed now that you know you gonna use it, as Shred is merely for the meme of collection... cuz it exist.

Buffs to punchthrough and fire rate are useful in more situations than resisting knockdown will be, which is almost never a problem in most cases, so I would prioritize Shred first.

P.Shred's nice for bows, Vulklok... so both are rather niche mods? But while Shred can sub for P.Shred, there are fewer things that can sub for Sure-footed? It's not just a faster recovery from being knocked down. It actually resists knockdown so you get interrupted less. If you're into running around in Inaros just melee-ing everything.

Not sure where you came up with that. It's just about the only rifle fire rate mod I've used since I got it.

Personal preference. Most of the time I use Vile Acceleration instead of Primed Shred. Sometimes I use both. Very rarely I use only P Shred.

I think P Sure Footed is insane QoL if you can fit it into your build, especially on tank frames. I recently put it on my Wukong P because I got tired of getting pushed back or pulled when I'm trying to stay still and letting my clone do the work. Liches also have tons of CC so it's very good against them.
The main issue with Primed Sure Footed is that its listed effect... isn't exactly accurate. First and foremost, as you can probably tell, they made a special point of the mod NOT giving a full 100% reduction to knockdown chance, capping out instead at a listed "99.99% reduction". Trouble is, in practice, that's a gross overestimate. Someone who's run the numbers has come to the conclusion that the actual in-game effect is closer to only a 90% reduction. Still helpful, sure, but not anywhere near as powerful as the description makes it sound.

I am quite certain that I have never been knocked down while using P Sure Footed and I stand still in kuva siphons and kuva floods all the time. I also have it on Chroma and have never been knocked down while doing profit-taker.

I mean this discussion primarily comes down to if you use tank frams more than weapons that benefit from shred

Primed Shred is nearly mandatory for pretty much every automatic weapon in the game, it's a massive increase to in-mission DPS and TTK. The only people who think it's worthless are people who judge solely based on paper stats.

Also, as others have pointed out, Primed Sure Footed is only useful if you're somehow incapable of using the various methods that already exist for avoiding knockdowns, most of which are heavily telegraphed and easy to avoid to begin with.
