New bounties and the new Eximus design really were not thought through well.
The former has issues with objectives not spawning, preventing completion entirely, or being so incompatible with each other that it's virtually impossible to do in some common circumstances.
The latter really shows they forgot (or simply don't care) that new players who don't have all the mods and weapons veterans like me treat as standard as well as no operators to speak of exist, that the game isn't designed to provide those tools at appropriate times in progression, and that maybe enemies designed for veterans specifically shouldn't be spawning right at the start of the game as a result.
While they are addressing some of these issues, some of them were called in advance so I feel DE's continued lack of foresight and desire to take the game into two different, mutually exclusive directions at the same time is becoming a bigger and bigger problem.
The main forums for the game are filled with similar grievances so you're not alone here.
Second, the eximuses only impede normal ability use. They still fall down easily to melee.
Because the main run and gun gameplay is fun? Because being a super space ninja is cool? There are other aspects to the game besides the grind so Warframe doesn't ride or die solely on that. After all, other games have grinds, so they need some other selling point besides the grind to stand out.
Let's also not forget that the grind can be adjusted to levels that are easier to tolerate than others, even if one doesn't specifically ever enjoy it per se.
Seriously, all of them are beyond sus.
the new eximus are op in my eyes at best and unbeatable at worst , they are completely broken now
It feels like they're trying to get me to use the operator more, which I don't like. The operator is completely gimped compared to the frame. The game is called warFRAME...not waroperator guys.
I hardly see anyone using operator in a normal game, I wonder why that is?
I like the story line, I just hate the play style of the operator mode. It feels generic and clumsy.
I recommend removing it from the game and just using it as a storytelling mechanic.
Just my thoughts.
I mainly forgot about the stunning visual improvements that were made into the game and mostly around Operators because I was extremelly aggravated beyond my FUBAR (forked up beyond any repair) limit gauge due to high increase in difficulty levels that I've felt.
I've been a WF player for nearly 4-5 years now and even despite not having all the highest gear, mod's and 'Frames I still managed to get mine through playing, visiting our Dojo (which is practially only mine now) and doing the researches needed to get some new weapons to test and go progressing at a slower rate than the usual grind fest' that the game entices you to go through while playing the new mission modes and progressing through the Quest's lore.
The Focus skill trees being revamped feels nice, but slightly more pointless than before after checking all 5 of'em. But that's probably my efficiency trade flaw speaking over here.
For instance, and upon the Operator department, I'm now levelling up the default Mote Amp that it comes with (despite already having levelled an Onko construct of mine 1st) and noew when visiting PoE it seems that it's struggling way more vs. phantom Vombalists than before the update. And Vombalists now clump together as they didn't used to do that much before the update thus making those kills to obtain the Cores way harder.
If ever trying to summarize it, DE worsened new players progression chances at being nigh completelly FUBAR'ed now (and eventually being forced to spend cash into the game to progress which, imho, kind of defeats the "F2P" feeling that the game had).
Anyway, thanks for your detailled PoV's and feelings about it. Always glad to hear some fellow players that do spend their time to constructivelly share their PoV's.
@ DLOZanma: Thanks for sharing your somewhat trolling version of what WF is. Before I've managed to play it without having that grind fest' feeling always breathing behind my neck, which currently is occurring and due to not liking it thus the main reasoning to my post.
If your idea to of contributing to a thread is mainly to try to make fun, or at worst case scenario possible trolling, of other players in the community that are new, others still progressing to get to the top Mastery Ranks (MR) like me and so on then you've suceeded. And to be bluntly frank, if you can't interact with others in a civic manner without displaying that sort of toxicity, we could seriously do way better without it around here to poise the debate in an easier way.
*Lol* Good humourous PoV right there. I really appreciate that sort of irony usage right there.
(Even if it's a game and the story makers do tend to make you way more gullible than IRL just to progress faster into their story's and/or universe's Lore).
@ Spirit: My feelings right there, atm. Lately, I haven't been feeling the urge to immediatelly progress into the story's Lore following the new quests provided, mainly because the grind level is upon the rise.
For instance, I still haven't finished my regular Inaros (despite already having made a Prime version) because nowadays I'm struggling to find 5 Manics to deal with out of the Kuva Fortress missions.
@ HammerAnvil: I understand your feelings about the Operator and tbh when I 1st started using it I had similar thoughts about it, but then thought that it was a WIP (work in progress) and that would be fleshed in slightly later on but so far haven't seen anything tangible that made think otherwise (similarly to how you're still feeling about it).
I've quit hundreds of games, just leave. Is this a vain attempt to promote others to convince staying? This us free to play, free to pass.
Why do people think themselves worthy of note so badly?
I believe its called "sunk investment" or some such. I think its where you have spent a fair amount of time and money on something and you don't want to see it die, you want to see it get better.
Like if you paid someone to look after a plant, and one day you saw it start to have yellow leaves and you thought, "oh no, it looks a bit sick".
You would tell the person looking after the plant right?
because your paying for it and it's meant to grow...
If you just move on...well...i would hate to see your relationships...haha...but seriously.
"Did i ever tell you what the definition of insanity is?"
I enjoy most of this game, but updates without testing just make it unplayable
If I've paid and supported the game, ergo this isn't "F2P" to me anymore and thus I've earned the right to ask for some quality improvement from the developing company (in this case DE). Which I'm doing so in a polite, civic manner and thus abbidding by general human societies' rules.
I'm human, ergo I have feelings and can display those in whichever manner I deem suiting, provided I don't insult others while doing so. Your post in here and around in other places of the WF community tends to merely be flame baiting lightning rods, so I'll leave as it alone as it is. A simple person trying to goad others into falling to their own twisted and wrongful perception of reallity.
If you've got nothing constructive to add, then please the same 'door' through which you've came in is tjhe same from where you can go out and rid us of that unwanted trolling toxicity.
Much obliged (and farewell).
Once the spectacle is gone you either stick around because you like the grind or you leave the game (either for a period or permanently).
Not only would this have been different but could have laid the ground work for a similar system for the Tower of the Unum in Cetus.
And could some one explain why they wasted dev time on the dorm? we already have player housing in the form of the orbiter.
However i'm of the opinion that we should not even be here. What happened to the post new war updates? Are the Narmer seriously just going to be left as special bounties in the open world? Are we really just going to leave something that important on the chopping room floor?
The lack of care and creativity DE is showing towards their game is seriously worrying to me.
