It's difficult to solo, yes. But it's entirely possible.
In addition, in the worst case scenario Exploiter seemingly has a reverse rage timer where instead of wiping the party if they take too long, the Orb wipes itself. Which allows you to kill it.
I have a friend who using nothing but an Arca Plasmor defeated the thing in about 1.5X as much time as it took four people working together.
Lastly, have you never seen any other content in Warframe? Outside of cinematic quests, it's intended to boss fight together.
The fractures? I solo it with trinity without ever having lost one canister.
Actually it's just fine as it is. Considering you still can access deck 12 if you still have diluted thermia in your inventory. The fracture sealing event will be as often as ghoul infestation event. That's like once a week every month.
People are stocking up diluted thermias at the moment.
Remember when new players get confused in PoE and get roasted by walking Eidolons? And that time you have to unlock all starchart nodes to access Arbitration?
Considering Exploiter is way more accessible for new players than Profit Taker which requires you maxed SU standing to participate.
I don't expect a brand new undermodded and undergunned new players to be able to participate these kind of operation right straight away without learning all the basics needed to survive a blast to the face by lvl 30+ mob at least or survive corpus reinforcement onslaught.
I did however got an MR 6 player with basic excal and mars tier weapon managed to tag along and survived phase 1 and 2 of the Exploiter despite dying. This event actually allow me to tolerate newbies. Unlike Tridolon fight.
I'll take shit that never happened for 500.
while I agree DE sometimes relies too much on the community and wiki to explain things for them... this game might not be for you if you are this whiney tbh.
Now if only they would add the standard 3 torids to the drop table of the various smaller spiders just to ease the grind and give incentive to keeping the heat up when doing bounties.
