Good work, Tenno. You’ve unearthed the secret lurking below known as Deck 12. But be wary, The Exploiter Orb Mother and a host of skittering Raknoids have made the platform and the surrounding area their home. It will take strength, fortitude and teamwork to destroy The Exploiter and avenge the fallen Solaris. Are you up to the challenge?


WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Deck 12 is unlocked - if you know where to look. Work with Solaris United to take down The Exploiter while Operation: Buried Debts is still active! Every Diluted Thermia resource you’ve harvested will allow you an encounter with The Exploiter, you can stockpile, share, and more! You’ll only be able to take part in this event for a limited time, so be sure to take on The Exploiter or you’ll have to wait until Thermia Fractures re-appear.


THE PLAN:

The Exploiter has the ability to summon a powerful blizzard around itself, whipping up winds that can freeze you solid if you’re not careful. You must find a way to weaken the Orb Mother’s chilling abilities, pick apart its defenses, and ultimately settle the score.

I did the fight solo, duo, and in a full group. The only real issue I tend to come across is the very final phase. Seem to always get one sneaky raknoid to sneak up and help the Orb. Also with the double resource drops in Fortuna atm you get 2 of the new toriod per fight. 4 if you have a booster or cat and 8 if you have a booster and the cat happens to drop boost you.

I am amazed how Profit Taker and Exploiter Orb are so different.

Profit Taker is all about dealing damage, Exploiter is about awareness. There is a good set of mechanics on both of them, just different approaches.

I think Orb fight is good, not like insanely impressed about it but as a concept so I can see it as an improvement towards Raid type events.

And they made that concept long ago, Lephantis was used for Hemocyte and has similar thing, weakspots, toxins, just dynamics there were bit more "alpha" stage of what we have here and I am REALLY looking forward to the next thing.

Give the Lephantis a dose of that Metroid's Phason and I think it should be good

They used to drop off exploiter orb escorts at the temple but it seems to no longer reside there. Closing fissures for the buried event is not possible without those canisters, Only way to obtain a canister now seems to be by kicking off exploiter orb battle in the cave and then abandoning it after thermia begins appearing there. Doesn't take too long for canisters to appear in that battle, just shoot out the rocks under her feet and you can obtain them. The thermia canisters can be carried back out into the environment as I have done it farming Hildryn parts.

I take that back, the exploiter orb can still be found at the temple of profit. Was farming Sola Toroids for a about 5 minutes and it appeared. You'll hear it before you see it :D

Uh, Exploiter has Coolant Raknoids following around her at the Temple of Profit. If Exploiter is not there, you killed her. If there are no Raknoids they are either dead or bugged out.

This isn’t as bad as Harrow. Or old Ambulas. Or Octavia.
If thermia fractures happen as often as the Ghouls do, there’s no need to worry.

There's a problem with that though. If the event is too frequent (like ghouls), people just start ignoring it and the only people you have doing it are lower MR players who are completely unable to contribute anything.

Harrow and Octavia is just a matter of grinding out the parts through content that isn't particularly challenging. Ambulas isn't much different.

Ghoul event still has a queuing system, so finding groups is still relatively easy. This does not so you would have to go through the recruiting chat channel.

you can solo the fight btw in less then 30 min so far done that 6 times
