Low-mid levels, sure, KPS is the beez neez. Higher lvls when you're not going to be killing so fast anyway? CC is king. A few frames dmg abilities/buffs can scale really well but not all and CC is the only thing that's gonna keep you from dying.

So what about high level missions? Low-mid levels is where most people play, though. The majority of the playerbase plays missions lvl 45 and below. And you shouldn’t be struggling to kill anything at level 45 or below.

They might jump into one or 2 harder missions if they’re looking for a serious challenge, but overall, I don’t even remotely believe most people spend most or even half their time playing high level missions. There’s no point other than looking for a challenge. Completing more missions faster can lead to as much or more xp/resources as playing a higher level mission that takes longer cause it’s harder.

You'd be surprised. There was one thread over on the Dark Souls 3 forums that got 3k replies simply because people enjoyed hazing the poster for being a douchenozzle. It wasn't anything even remotely approaching good bait.

Please name a mission in which you can't kill a normal enemy within a second, maybe two, something like a Corrupted Heavy Gunner in a little more, if you have a decently built weapon. If you're talking lv150+ enemies I understand but barely anyone does such missions (unless we're talking Arbitrations: but there, Baruuk lacks the actual survivability to, well... survive. While an experienced Baruuk player obviously will make good use of him, there are better and easier options).

Also, if CC is king, why is Vauban so unplayed? Why is Nyx so unplayed? Killing is usually just faster and, if you're not trying to scan the enemies, more useful.

Baruuk is great if you lack a good weapon to kill things before they kill you - he has survivability. The problem is, his only actual survivability relies in CCing enemies with either a delayed sleep, or destroying their guns and forcing them to go melee. Elude doesn't have much of a use in combat as you can't attack while dodging the projectiles. Other than that he's... decent but far from the best.

And it's not only about ability scaling as usually it's the weapons that dish out the real DPS.

A good example of a powerful frame is Octavia. she's bae and also op
Her 1 is a large-area damage tool that scales hard and fast when combined with her 2 which gives it more aggro. The combo redirects fire from her team to her abilities and while this is a form of soft CC, its short cast time, very long duration and quickly scaling DPS make it powerful - but it's not a nuke. It's usually used alongside just shooting enemies with her actual weapons, as a support dps ability of sorts.

Her 3 gives invisibility, which is probably the strongest form of survivability, along with a range of other useful buffs, some of which increase the weapons' damage.

Her 4 greatly increases weapon damage and her 1's damage and range in a massive area.

When it comes to frame abilities, you're right, some frames' damage or buffs don't scale up too well. But CC isn't king unless it can be applied to many enemies within a short time (Volt's nuke, Loki's ult), and even then it isn't the king. The forementioned buffs (Rhino roar), nukes (Saryn ult), invisibility (Loki, Ivara, Octavia)/tankiness (Rhino, Inaros).
Note how those frames I listed are a few of the most powerful in the game because they have the abilities which make frames strong.

I view the frames very objectively, and while he is a good overall frame he has his flaws. Baruuk's sleep is for the most part useless, is you are planning to CC enemies it is a slow process and with hordes of enemies pouring in spamming it is a poor option. In addition, Baruuk is a fairly tanky frame, so hard CCs are unnecessary. His damage mitigation is also flawed i'm afraid, he actually has better potential building damage reduction that way you don't have to worry about taking damage while attacking, a much safer build. Lastly, his 4, while it's fun to use and good against mid to low level, falls off at higher levels due to armor and health scaling. I still think hes a good overall frame, but objectively he needs some improvements.
