Eidolon hunt builds for Volt, Harrow and Chroma?
I'm starting to get back into eidolon hunts and wondering what the meta builds are for these 3 frames. My trin seems to do fine already so I'm happy with her.

Idk harrow but I 5x3 the other 3. Chroma is build strength>duration>range, you don’t want to drop range below 100, you want some extra duration and as much strength as you can get. Strength is the most important because you want to increase your teams weapon damage but duration and range are necessary.

Volt is just all duration and efficiency, you just want to spam shields, they don’t scale with strength or range.

Harrow you want Efficiency and Strength. Duration will take some practice to perfect, but it depends entirely on how fast your team are taking out shields/limbs.

You will need to time him well for the damage phase also so allies are getting that Crit and Fire Rate buff.

As for what Big Chingus said, to be honest Str and Duration are most important. Chroma can solo the damage phase in 1-2 shots, so buffing allies is kind of pointless - especially when the only person shooting their weapons until Hydrolyst damage phase is Chroma.

PS - For Volt and Chroma, don't think the build is what makes it meta - you need to know what you're doing.

Harrow is easy. You charge VS all the time, coming out of operator to Press 4 to nullify Magnetic, and then buff fire rate and crit for damage phase.

Volt is all about good shield placement, Chroma is dropping Wisps and destroying limbs - there should be like 0.1s between the shield going down and the limb breaking. Not to mention Chroma's lure role for Tera and knowing how to spawn Vomvas properly.

Looks like I've got a lot of learning to do then. Now to find a group for it...

if you're gonna play Chroma definitely this , do not build any range whatsoever , chroma is strong enough to solo limbs with as high damage build as possible and with a properly built rubico p . It may seem selfish but your team doesnt need a buff if they dont get the chance to shoot :claudeheart:

More like duration and strength, disregard efficiency and range, you can pop pizzas and there are a lot of energizing dash users in pubs, just ask them to use it somewhere close to you once in a while, and you can cancel out coventant buffs with archwing.

Absolutely no. Too much Duration will leave his 4 up for too long, which means you can't cast it in time for the next limb.

And AW is a timewaste that could get you killed. You have to get into AW, then build up momentum to do a dashing attack so you don't waste a VS use.

In total you'd be wasting loads of time that could be spent charging/shooting.

The hell are you smoking? momentum for dash attack? u wot? it takes less than a second to enter and exit archwing mode with slam attack, not to mention that horizontal attack could be transitioned straight into 4 without even landing. of course you're not going to mention that you can just do it earlier and stop worrying about duration so you can charge VS freely

Slam attacks consume VS charges.

Huh, never noticed this. Anyway, using "dash" attacks is faster still and you don't have to gimp yourself with low duration. you can probably do it with k-drive, which is even faster
Shard of Manus Feb 17, 2019 @ 1:55am
Low duration doesn't gimp anything though. It just removes the hassle of having to cancel it out each time. You can still buff everyone for the damage phase just fine.

then just don't equip a melee weapon and you cannot slam.
Worked for me

Asking for builds against Eidolons proves that you simply have no idea what the hell happens during an eidolon hunt. The simple question "WHY those frames ?" would lead you to the builds. You'd get to use your own already stressed brain. Putting your own tiny cells at work would also help (A LOT!) overcome the absolutely idiotic "eidolon-meta" crap. Now THIS would be the real, true victory.
How dare you, he has whopping 3k hours of playtime and knows it all way better than you.
