Warframe: Battle Royale (PvP)

When will we get a PvP Battle Royale mode? I think that would create positive buzz, boost the game's PR, draw in more players, etc.

As long as we don't track ELO, it shouldn't negatively impact the community. The Elo rating system is a method for calculating the relative skill levels of players in zero-sum games such as chess. After every game, the winning player takes points from the losing one.

I've never played pvp and have no intention of doing so but I support anything that brings new players into the game so that DE can keep making money to release new content.

While I believe Warframe would be different from any other BR game because it would actually be a game with a battle royale mode instead of a battle royale mode pretending to be a full fledged game (PUBG, Fortnite, Apex Legends *cough-cough*)-the game mode itself is still boring to play. DE shouldn’t focus any time or resources to a game mode like that which would largely be ignored because it doesn’t remotely fit with this game

True, but I have decided that even my moderately-powerful PC cannot run Cetus or Fortuna at a stable 60 frames per second, and therefore a WF:BR would be a terrible idea because it would absolutely perform even worse

Thank you for all the comments everyone. I have to say reflecting back on my OP, probably a wise move not to go in the BR direction. The market seems to be close to saturation for competitive, eSports BRs and MOBAs. This game has a well-earned reputation as a niche PvE specialist.

2. Sure, you don't have to play - but why spend resources on a mode that no one will play?

3. You hate games like Fortnite - but you like the 'concepts of BR'? That basically means you hate BR.

5. They could do tons of things. They could 'make a little team' to finish archwing, to expand the Dojo system, to . . .

6. Fething ellipsis are not periods. It, literally, takes more keystrokes to misuse an ellipsis than it does to properly use a period.

This should be a bannable offense to necro a post.

Secondly, no. If DE can't get pvp correct in the first place nor make it appealing for non pvpers to even want to play it - the BR will be the same abandoned mess. BR would be a waste of time and resources/energy on something that a very small portion of the community would take part in, when it could be used improving the game else where.

Many bugs/balances need to be fixed that take priority over something like this.

It doesn't need to be bannable but, ffs, Steam needs to get into 2010 already - I mean its almost 2020 - and add in tabbed browsing and just lock threads that have more than, say, 7 days since the last post in it. It can be automated. Its not hard. Give it to one of them coders you're not using any more Valve.
