It has nothing to do with lazyness, I just take passwords serious.
If you somehow think those random generated passwords are stronger I'd suggest you see how passwords are cracked. To sum it up, takes about an hour or two to learn how to get it. What password looks like has almost nothing to do with how much time you need to obtain it.
So you are effectivelly only using it to prevent your familly or room mates to get in the game by raw guessing.
Which again leads to question, why generate such password to prevent your familly to get in your game if you gonna auto-save it?
you have no idea how passwords are hacked....
No.
Type in your password yourself.
It is not that hard, einstein. Lol
This --->
Lmao
And i bet when your account gets highjacked/locked you will come here to complain and cry over it. Lol
2) if typing your keyboard in uncomfortable then I am not sur ehow you even play this game, how did you even type this response?
You can always make macros with your passwords if it is that uncomfortable to use fingers to press buttons, but I must say feel bad for your wife.
Wants to store password
Perhaps you should start by taking security seriously first?
Are there special characters? ( such as $,@,!, etc )
Are there numbers?
Are there capitals AND lowercases?
Is it something no one else will know?
A 20 character password with symbols, letters, and numbers is more secure than a 20-character string of words that someone can guess, like your first + name
Even then 20 characters is kinda overkill, best stick to 14 characters with all the symbols and stuff
Also what's the point of having a big beefy complicated password that no one can crack if you save it
Kinda defeats the purpose lel
Yes,
Yes, and
Yes.
But I'm not here to debate that.
Some guy in this thread was worried, that I lock my family out from this game.
It's my game, It's my computer, I am the only one using it, and it's also password protected.
as far as I know, to be able to play this game, you still need to be logged in in your steam account, which also has a strong password, including an active SteamGuard. Same with my Warframe account: 2FA is enabled.
I'm aware, there is always a risk, but I think to store the encrypted password on my local machine is not that high of a security risk. If someone is able to hack my computer, I would be more worried of my files and not of a game.
I wouldn't even mind, if they add a routine check every ~30 days, where you have to put in your password again.
Didn't know that an Option is such a problem for some...
exactly, thank you!
do you really not see the fallacy of your statment? you want to have security, but you're asking for a less secure option? are you dense? if the hackers want your password, they will have it. it doesn't matter how many randomly generated passwords you have. understand? don't be dumb please.
