Tigris Prime?

I have the weapon, got the parts and built it just before it got vaulted. I see that it is often used. I am of the opinion that if somthing is often used it is because the weapons performs well is likely also easy to use.

However I can't help feeling that I am missing somthing important. I can't make the weapon perform as well as a lot of other weapons I use. I want to discard it but I feel I would regret that decision if I did so and found out what I was missing later.

What is it that people find to be so great about this weapon?
Is there some content that it is blatantly OP for that I just havent heard of yet?
Should I discard it?

The point of Tigris Prime is that it can one shot almost any group of enemies even in very high levels. In low level missions it is not as relevant as you can do easily do that with other weapons with higher range, fire rate, or magazine capacity anyway.

There's very few weapons in this game that do more damage per click. I've got my Tigris Prime serving as a boss buster, doing 50k damage in a single barrel, 100k for duplex. You know what stands up to that? Absolutely nothing.

Due to its raw damage, the best use for Tigirs, that I have found, is to charge up Nova's Antimatter Drop.

The thing with the Tigris is that it can hit 100% with the so called "dual-stat" mods. Status works a little different with shotguns because your status chance is divided into each pellet. If you mod the Tigris to have 90% status chance, you will not get procs 9 out of 10 times, but something much less. However, with 100% chance, all pellets get 100% I believe. Whether what I say is totally accurate or not, I can't affirm, but there is a dramatic difference between 90 and 100% status chance.
