The Actual Best Way to Farm Rare Materials. Double your drop rates!
Ok so a while back I came up with the best way to maximize your chances of getting rare materials like orokin cells or neural sensors. I've seen many people farm with the method of taking nekros and ol sea dog (hydroid) to get increased drops. Well whoever discovered that method was smart. However many who play this game seem to not realize 1 simple thing. Resource boosters. Now I know what your thinking. I'm not gonna waste my plat on buying something so dumb. And your correct. Don't buy resource boosters that just lame. However there is a way to get em for free. On endless relic missions after you go through a few waves like 20 on defense; you get resource boosters. Now combine that with a solid team with hydroid and nekros and yea your making double to triple the amount of resources saving so much time. You don't even need to use relics, its just a BONUS! So yea its the perfect strategy and one nobody seems to use even though its sooo effective and actually pretty fun with missions like interception. The only down side is you have to wait for an endless relic mission to pop up on the planet that has the resource you want. But well theres tons of other thing to do besides farming in the mean time. Stop farming like a peasant and farm like a king! And spread the word of this strategy. I'm pretty sure I created it kinda. Maybe theres a few other smart players that know it too. Anyways get out there and farm like a beast. I'll see you maybe LF a endless relic farm.

Except that when you get to the point where drops are doubled from the booster the scaling of enemy health and armor will slow your killing speed to a crawl. Which then reduces the amount of drops you get.
Just the very thought that you are the first one to come up with this makes you a stupid person. Why else do you think recommend people survivals for farming?

Actually if anything it increases my killing spree. More enemies spawn and my build kills basically everything in seconds. And I thought I came up with it because nobody ever does this. And it definetly works better than just doing the same mission over and over. The amount of cells that start dropping is beuatiful. If your just resetting a mission after wave 10 or so that just boring and you don't get nearly as many resources. If your having trouble with getting that far in to endless maybe your still too under leveled? This is like a endgame strategy for high level players. For got to mention that.

Why you gotta call him stupid for trying to improve his game?
Survival missions have been in the game since 2013. Claiming in 2018 that you are the first one to realize that theres a free booster is just stupid.

And even if you utilize full cheese builds you wont be able to keep up with scaling while also retaining maximum killspeed.

I'm talking about the booster in relic missions. The scaling isn't that hard when the booster is activated. And more enemies spawn. More enemies=more drops. U get more cells faster. In 30 mins I can have about 40 cells.

It's not really that stupid to spend plat on the resource boosters. You can always buy something like the three day booster and spend a weekend just farming resources so you don't have to worry about that for a while.
Or whenever you get that as a log in reward you can spend those three hours focusing on resources and the do something else

In 30mins you dont get anywhere near a 100% booster. Also the booster only affects the drops , it has no effect on scaling.
Enemy spawns are also completely independent from boosters. And looking at your reasoning you probably never experienced how scaling at higher levels turn enemys into bulletsponges.

boosters arent a waste of plat. especially the doublers. the first thing i do is buy the 40 plat resource doubler. then i start farming a bunch of void traces and radiant a specific set of relics to open and sell the set. boom. 40 plat back, plus a bit extra. continue doing it then you can buy a longer duration one and keep doing it now and again. at the bare minimum i do one cap of void traces per day, 900 traces at the moment. majority of the time you can get a full set of something in 9 relics unless your really unlucky.

once you start doing this you can basically get everything you need. easily pay for your own credit/affinity/drop chance/resource doubler boosters and almost always have extra plat left over.

looking at your reasoning, you probably never heard of a mod called corrosive projection, it kinda sorta stops that

It prevents armor scaling which is a huge part of making enemys tank. But this strategy doesnt really work out because of four reasons:
1) You need four players with CP
2) They have to use relics
3) You need a fissure survival on a planet with the desired resources
4) Everyone needs to stay long enough for the booster to be even worth it

So yeah, since all of that has to be fulfilled for this "best" method to work you might aswell just farm the normal way. Because you can reliably do that over and over again without having to wait for the correct mission to show up on the correct planet before assembling a squad of players that are willing to stay so long.

Let's not forget that by the time that the wave bonus booster becomes worthwhile, enemies will probably be one-shotting players just by looking in their general direction.

If I'm doing my math right (20 minutes in for drop chance IIRC, plus 25 minutes for that buff to cycle up one due to 5 more for the free relic and then 20 more for the actual buff, times 3), that's 95 (give or take about 15) waves/minutes just to get a 100% drop chance booster.
