I'm so sorry
Worst thing is, if I knew I needed rank 14, I probably could have gotten it (or gotten very close.)
I've never seen a supra vandal until now. Why would it be so bad an MR1 having that as a weapon though? Would it make that much of a difference, given that they probably don't have the mods to make it close to decent?
Honestly, I like the MR system. Gives me something to work towards. But when that something is unatainable within the window it's available... That kinda sucks.
I actually don't care what people use or do, it's PvE and I don't feel any sense of superiority over having time-gated content.
Matter of fact all that does is annoy me because I can barely get any friends into the game, because the early game is so very dull and lifeless and all the cool stuff is locked behind an immeasurable amount of grinding.
I am an example of that myself, as I only started playing this game (back in 2015) after a friend bought me Chroma and some stuff I wanted to convince me to play. There was absolutely no way I'd force myself through content I didn't find attractive just so I could eventually get to where I wanted.
I've spent a couple thousand dollars in this game by now, and without some dude literally buying my way into it, DE would have never seen that money.
IMO, its better that way.
And, as someone stated above, being able to roam around with Supra Vandal as MR 1 or 2 can only reduce the game's lifespan. Even in real life you have to "grind" a bit before you marry with your significant other. I mean c'mon, this is Warfarm, my friend.
Now with over 300 weapons, let's suppose that we get access to 15 new weapons for each MR we get. We won't stop getting access to new weapons until MR 20. We have access to more weapons for each MR and people will not likely drop the game until MR 20.
Longer game time means greater chance of players buying something in game with real money, and I don't see anything wrong here.
It’s that being below a certain MR prevents getting an event weapon that won’t show up for a long ass time.
Except that it seems you cannot sell it currently.
