Banshee Prime any good?
Thinking of buying her with platinum. Is she any good?

*EDIT: In terms of "good", I mean things like is she adaptable? Is she good for end-game? Has she got any good builds out there and what are they called? (etc...)

All of the frames are goo. Primes are only slightly better than their none prime variants. She isnt hard to farm so Id recomend farming her isntead of buying her. She has a very strong but also the most boring aoe ability in the game with soundquake. Has massive range and damage with the resonating quake augment but you sit in one spot unable to move during. I prefer using her for her sonar using resonance. It is one of the strongest damage buffs in the game and can let your team one shot level 100+ mobs with mk-1 weapon levels of damage.

Mag is incredibly powerful. Her 2 has some of the best damage scaling out of any frame in the game.Spam it a few times then use your weapon to charge them up continusous fire weapons really ramp up the damage. hit 3 and wait. Ive puleld 70%+ damage with my mag prime in sortie defenses without really putting forth much effort.

Banshee prime, just like the regular banshee and any other warframe, is only as good as the player behind it.

Warframes are not in tiers of quality, this isn't like pokemon where legendary pokemons will most likely have higher stats compared to a simply pidgey of the same lvl, here the skill of the player translates to the warframe.
Knowing what warframes do is the 1st step into improving them, only you know if what banshee has can improve whatever you want to do and whatever your doing right now, this is something no one can help.

If a perticular warframe is deemed bad or worthless, then the player probably has a gameplay where that warframe isn't suited or the player just doesn't bother into actually learning what the warframe is capable of.

Warframes are tools, warframes are a way of playing the game, the player is what maters in the results, having warframes that are told to you that are good is pointless if you don't have the gameplay to justify it, you will always be outpaced by other players that overall display more effort.

The reason to get primes: Better stats (Armor, Energy etc) - Fashionframe (the True Endgame) - MR - Less Forma needed for 'Endgame' build.

I know that. But I didn't ask for a lecture.

I want to know when and where to use her abilities, preferably from people who currently player. I also want knowledge on some good builds, and what works best, etc...

Banshe prime or even normal Banshee isn't holding up well late game.

With the tiny amount of armor on she has no protective capability.

Her saving grace is Sonar and a bit of her third ability but only in close range and if you can kill enemies fast enough.

But even with Sonar you're better off with another damage buffing Warframe. Rhino, Nova and Chroma are all better in every way.

Banshee is quite powerful with the right mods, and is most powerful when you pump as much power strength as you can get and use sonar and quake.

Resonating Quake can trivialize most defense waves of you can stomach the energy quake, and Resonance will allow your sonar to remain up til the timer actually runs out, as opposed to when all affected enemies die.

But I assure you, she's plenty good enough. Just get your hands on Transient Fortitude, Resonating Quake & Resonance, and maybe Blind Rage and you'll do fine with her.

builds are a basic mechanic and so i do not teach them, it is up to the player to actually put effort in learning that, otherwise it will propagate into engame and into higher mastery ranks.

The number of players asking for builds or asking what is better ir worse is already way to high and the community as a whole can't improve if the veterans give them the fish they need, we teach how to fish and so the best way is to learn them by yourself

As for abilities and what can they be used for, step 1 is to actually read what the abilities do, again basic mechanics, can't help you.

Google it.

Just bear in mind that a lot of tactics and builds depend a lot on the mods you can equip. i.e. you can't do a speeva without Overextended. So someone here giving you a specific build isn't all that helpful. You can use a site like warframe-builder.com to see how it would look like with mods that you don't yet have.

Besides, do you plan to defend a fixed point? Mobile point... offensive, no-shields situation, type of enemy mobs and so on. Are you the kind of player that can dodge fire or the type that prefers to tank it?

So it's easier if you just use http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Banshee and load up a generic / basic set... then compare yourself to what others do with the same frame. Then you'll adjust the mods to suit your playstyle.

*the wiki has info on the augment mods as well.
