What does Hunter Synergy actually do?

So i tried testing myself and looking it up but i cant get anything solid. Does anyone know for sure what this does?

Companions deal 25% per set part extra damage to enemies affected by slash status.

Meaning you proc slash on something and your buddy kills them much faster :D

From the way the others work, i think it should give you a percentage of crit from the companion's pool?I cant really tell what it does.

Oh my bad.

The crit link does give your companion an amount of your crit.

I have no clue if this is taken from the base amount or the total amount though. Haven't used them extensively yet.
