Auction house

The trading system is integral to Warframe. But it's so messy. An auction house would make life so easier in my opinion.

Any opinions?

Yeah, an auction house would make trading much better.
Even though warframe.market is a thing, it's just a lot of hassle using this massively outdated trading system.
Sadly, there are no plans to implement an auction house as far as I know.

Warframe economy can not support a automated market/auction house. If you like being able to afford anything that cost plat ingame, having a automated market/auction house will drive the cost of nearly every single item worth selling down the drain. You'll be lucky if you can get something sold for 5 plat let alone 1 plat.

The main reason why it doesn't work is due to most items in Warframe you only need one copy of it. Example, how many copies of Primed Flow do you need in order to use it? How many Chroma Prime parts do you need to build and maintain Chroma Prime? One, just one. Are the supplies of said item limited or super rare? No aside from Primed mods being limited behind Barro, there is a near endless supplies of each items.

If everyone post there supplies of items in a auction house and under cut one another for a quick sale(in warframe case, this is really the only move you can do) everything will degrade to 1 plat due to how easy it is to farm for an item. You won't be able to afford a Frame slot (20 plat) let alone two weapon slot (12 plat). Unlike how it is now you can sell a Augment mod for 10-15 plat easily.

If you say Warframe Market is automated and it works, why not add that to the game? The reason why it works is due to it being a very small percentage of the playerbase having an account set up for it. To most people, Warframe Market is used as a reference to get an idea on an item price.

I used to go in a very long wall of text when it comes to these kind of topic but I'll just leave it at this. Warframe is by far the fairest when it comes to free players being able to get premium currency. All it ask of you is a bit of time and social interaction. I have made over 2k plat and all it took was spending 10-15 min in the trade chat when ever I have some down time and feel like trading. Just use your chat Filter and set it to WTB and hope you have something someone wants to buy.

It really wouldn't. Prices of rare items would skyrocket to hell, meanwhile common items would go dirt cheap and nobody would buy them.

Personally I just want a method where I can offer my wares without having to post the same comment over and over again every one and a half minutes.

It's really simple and safe to use, it makes selling super quick. all you do is click "yes i have this" then set a price.

I see what you mean. In all the games I've played with an auction house the items are more unique. So by this logic a Riven auction house would perhaps work? What do you think about that?

No. Who's gna give you WF weapon rivel slots?

A AH can be limited just like everything in WF, only allowe for 1-2 items in the AH at times.

If the auction house is purely for rolled Rivens only, Then it's an auction house that is worth having, especially given some Rivens already have ridiculous pricing and it will be extremely difficult to inflate a market of rolled riven's for that specific weapon since it's purely random and the price's is based on the owner's worth of it, not based on the market.

It'd also help buy those rivens whenever a the seller is AFK since the sites are very unreliable when it comes to seller activity.
