Ignis wraith or Acceltra

Im debating witch one i should bother with atm as untill i get some more iv only got 7 forma

i hear both weapons are really popular but i dont see nearly as many people using the acceltra as i do the ignis wraith but i hear both are fairly decent though im unsure just how decent

Ignis Wraith.
Acceltra has preety low DPS unless you use Viral/Slash .
Ignis Wraith is a very reliable primary.

i can do a viral/slash build pretty easly at least i plan to do both i just dont know what one to do first but i might jsut do the ignis first

Ignis to kill low level stuff (like relic and whatnot). Acceltra for everything up to steel path. Steel path and above, forget those.

Acceltra has much higher DPS than ignis, but the need to reload a lot is an issue in low level, where everything melts. On the other hand, the DPS being a lot of impact, it loses a lot against super tanky stuff like steel paths. But for the in between like sorties ? It's superior to ignis in every way.

Well, in SP, melee>primary. Still, Bramma is very strong (as always) if you can handle the limited ammo, trumna is OK, so is shedu. Finally, as you said in another post, prettymuch anything with high slash proc and/or high crit (can be turned into slash proc) and viral is good.

the cedo is pretty good for status effects cause of it's alt fire. Kind of like the nukor so you can combine both with a melee that has condition overload

ignis is for low level content only ( unless u use nyx/ember/saryn and strip armor, abuse abilities e.t.c )
acceltra can be saved with a good ( and i mean its gotta be a really good one) riven however, i even use it to deal with steel path lephantis, u can deal with it solo under 7 minutes ( no chroma/titania/harrow, literally any basic frame and acceltra with no side buffs ), ammo is not an issue on steel path cus there will be tons of enemies, but some specific grineer units might force u to dump the whole clip, it is universal but excels in nothing
They both will lack on steel path honestly, acceltra just has more damage

As others have mentioned, primaries are generally not that useful for Steel Path enemies, especially ones like Ignis Wraith and Acceltra. You're usually better off relying on melee or your Warframe's abilities, which tends to mean that your primary and secondary exist more for utility (namely for Condition Overload, though the Miter is also good for mindless Nullifier popping).

Mind you, I do know that some of the Kuva Lich weapons can perform somewhat well in certain missions. Such as by having a Kuva Tonkor with a lot of Toxin damage being able to deal with Corpus rather well (as Toxin damage will bypass their massive shields to hit their low health directly). I've also had weapons like the Kuva Chakkhurr, Kuva Bramma, and Kuva Kohm be able to dispatch enemies in Steel Path rather well (minus long endurance).

Otherwise, I'd imagine the Cedo would perform rather well. The Exergis is probably usable when paired with Mag, seeing as the combo is generally really powerful. I also imagine any weapon with a good amount of Electric damage still performs well with the Zephyr one shot build (such as the Amprex), though I haven't tested it in a while.

i find ignis to be the lazy room clear option, the min arming distance of acceltra and annoying pushback it does is the reason i don't like using it
