So just because you're on Destiny Discussions does not mean it's the warframe community being toxic as it happens anywhere and the 2 games are compared quite often.
Just ignore them cause they got nothing better to do.
1) Since Destiny 2 is going to become Free-To-Play and on Steam for the first time. Many within the Tenno Community sees this as a threat to the hegemony that they have established here since 2013.
2) Your most likely referring to the elitist part of the community. Every community has one of those groups who will defend games till their dying breath. Not all communities are entirely bad it depends on who your talking to and playing within that community.
3) The comparisons between Destiny and Warframe.
There are many more reasons, but i don't want to have my brain explode from all the stupidity. Look, you like what you like. And I like what I like okay? Good thanks. (Not you OP just the entitled gamers)
For Destiny 2, many new Warframe players are refugee from Year One Destiny2 (aka let's relive Destiny 1 Year One Experience not use anything learned from the past 4 years or any of the best thing from Taken King Expansion).
Destiny 2 first year and all of the DLC was just awful and anyone that played Destiny 1 can feel how lazy it was since it was just Destiny 1 all over again. Chopped content from the game inorder to spread it out as DLC, missing lore and outright mishandling of the lore itself, community/game QOL issue that was solved in D1 was nowhere to be seen, the Eververse loot box, and of course the limited Dye uses for gear which take inventory space. The list goes on.
I haven't played Destiny 2 since the Curse of Osiris DLC so I can't comment about Destiny 2 now but that's about the jest of why Destiny 2 get some hate.
TLDR here are the three keynotes
1) Forsaken is Destiny 2's taken King
2) The Eververse is more friendlier than what it was before
3) More modes, challenges, raids, etc.
The only issue from my perspective is the matchmaking.
Yup there was shot threads after shot threads when that announcement happened. I can safely bet that both games will get review bomb'd by both fandoms because "♥♥♥♥ that game"
