Many of us have not only raised an eyebrow over the illusion of choice, but always when it comes to Cy, which at this point (and being spoiler free), everything you learned from the Railjack building quest goes nowhere. Just one of the many plot threads that was dropped because .... well I have no idea why. Personally I would love to have the same version of Ordis as seen in the war within quest in the railjack, but such is life.
As for the giant finger, many have speculated it is from the man in the wall. Not sure if it still does it, but there was a time when you could enter your railjack while dry docked. approach it and hear the man in the wall speak to you in your operators voice. But again another dropped plot thread.
if we are talking normal orbiter Ordis I 100% agree with you. For my odd sense of humor though, I would love to see War Within Ordis. But each their own ;)
True. I should've clarified, My comment is regarding orbiter Ordis. :D
Would be cool if they had the option of different cephalons we could look for/farm - differnt cephalons giving different bonus stats to the ship. But this would never happen.
Cy is cooler than ceph Ordis though
i can imagine
maybe in the future the will build something on that backstory? at least they made room for it. serious ordis would also be cool to have
thats interesting. while i was exploring the railjack when i first entered i did heard a voice though it was fast and wasnt able to pinpoint from where it came from
but doesnt he says that hes the one that made it happen? or maybe i didnt get it idk. like he did it but he has no idea who gave him the order. it made me think that back then he might have been manipulated by a sentient, like hunhow with cephalon suda, an that we are literally sitting on a landmine
I need to preface this comment with saying I have no idea how strong the newly built railjacks are, so if this comes off as looking down on you, that is not my intention.
You know my instrincs level is rather high, and I built mine to be on the heavier tankier side, plus I have the three extra NPC crew. So if you want to go around Earth and Saturn collecting resources (and mods) while you get a feel for it, you are welcome to use my Prometheus (bad sense of humor to name my railjack that I know). IGN: HadesTatsu
tbh i have no idea what that is but thanks i guess
Ok, I am going to try and explain this as best I can, without being confusing, as [DE} went a little wild on everything.
Railjack Itself
A) if you want to have better shields then you need to find parts from railjack missions to get something called shield array
B) if you want to have better speed, you need to find parts the same way as above for engines
C) If you want to open up more mod slots and have better shield recharge rates then you need to find something called rector
weapons
Self explanatory. You can build the 'starter' ones from your clans dry dock, better ones are found ... you guessed it! Through Railjack missions.
Side note: There are three different fractions (or schools if you prefer to think of that) and each one is better then other. However there is one mechanic in the game thanks to RNG that many do not like; which is you can have two weapons that are the same time and same level (I, II, III) but one of them may have lower stats or one of them may have far higher stats. Same goes for shield array, Engine and reactor.
mods
So just like your warframe, you need to collect mods (same way as above), so if you want a even faster ship, better shields, better armor then you need to get those and slot them with endo. Finding and repairing better reactors allows you to have more slots or course you can also slot it with a potato (if one is not installed) to allow for even more space.
I believe it is under tactical which is the same thing as your warframe's abilities the only difference is you are allowed to have anything you want, but there is a caveat here. When on a railjack mission you need to decide if your warframe or your railjack should use abilities. Why? Because [DE} in their (lack of) wisdom has made so your warframe AND railjack share the same energy pool.
The upside? You can build more energy on your railjack. Downside? You need to build or collect energy orbs.
Now if your head is not swimming yet, then we get to:
intrinsic
Cutting through all the confusion, as you do RJ missions you get something called intrinsic points. Getting these points can seen like you are leveling your RJ much like you level your warframe, and do count and Master Rank Points so yay! With these points you can unlock abilities to go even faster, use side torrents (you are locked to 90 degree's in all directions until you unlock the 360 degree when on someone else's rail jack), make archwing strong, faster, hit faster, etc.
I hope this clears things up a little for you.
it does, thanks a bunch. actually i wasnt aware there were this many mechanics into play. i tried a skirmish and the first couple of attempts resulted in failure because i had no idea wtf i was doing, then i won and ive found an mk 1 component that need repair, and some mods. i noticed the mod config menu in the dry docks is divided in 3 sections, are they all active simultaneously?
gameplay its cool though, faster than i first thought, and quite suggestive.
Integrated: Essentially Passive bonuses for various aspects of the Railjack
Battle: Active Abilities you can use while manning a station on board the Raijack (they're like Warframe abilities, they even cost Warframe energy to use).
Tactical: Utility abilities that are free to use but have a cooldown. To use them you have to open the tactical menu ('L' by default iirc, you need to invest in one level the 'Tactical' Intrinsic to unlock this function).
Oh, and bear in mind these mods (barring the Aura mod in the Integrated section) only affect you regardless of whether your are on board your own Railjack or someone else's. So, for instance, if you have mods that increase Railjack speed, they will only be active while you are piloting.
Additionally if/when you pick up some AI Crew (after investing in the 'Command' Intrinsic) they will (effectively) use an exact copy of your Plexus's Mod loadout.
