if that doesn't work manually port forward (use google for this), not all routers support upnp/nat-pmp.
That's terrible advice ngl, if you have a strict nat you should try to fix it if you can. Warframe is a peer to peer game for missions, having a strict nat can affect your ability to play with other players. Really only the host of the missions needs an open nat, but if host migration happens and everyone else has strict say good bye to squad.
For the most part, the only time you really can't fix stuff like that is if you don't have access to admin settings on your router/have something like celluar internet and even then there are more, potentially tech involved, work arounds.
any customer service about port configuring has been answered with " I do not know how", which is hilarious to hear.
wrong. I have this message come up since 2014 and I changed my ISP 6 times already and moved to 3 different countries ;)
I had 10 tickets with DE and even spoke with an superior there, they couldnt figure it out.
My NAT is configured properly but they have not the best IT guys or routers themself at Zeniamx Helpdesk!
So actually my advice to you would be, dont jump too quickly to judgments, you never know why someone has the feedback he has. He might have a reason.
lol
to OP.
The message is just annoying at the start of the game but if you already checked your NAT and routing. Also checked if uPnP is enabled, if you did all those steps and your provider doesnt help you, my response is still your best answer. Just ignore it ;)
If you cant tell that your gameplay is affected in any way you dont have anything to worry about.
I didn't assume ♥♥♥♥, and I'm well aware that not everyone can fix it hence "if you can" and the "for the most part"
Telling someone just to ignore something is just bad advice, there is a reason that message pops up. if everyone had a strict nat warframe would actually be unplayable coop.
DE would rather force players to engage in peer to peer networking after 8+ years of massive (untaxed) profits than to bother with hiring some competent networking people to run dedicated servers.
Also if you really worry about security you should be running Gentoo Linux and not using any proprietary software whatsoever because proprietary software is always 'insecure' compared to open-source software.
;)
Your NAT being strict isn't going to be helped by speaking to a game developer about it no matter how high up they are in the company, it's completely on your end on your router. Ignoring strict NAT is not how you make it go away.

I spoke to the technical support and they forwarded it to their IT support. Get it to your head, I fixed the strict NAT and the message still appeared.
Let OP decide what he wants to do, I just provided my feedback how I dealed with the problem cause I actually had it. Did you have the issue or are you just trying to be a smartass?
If my solution is not working for him he can still decide to take any other given here.
Yes, I have dealt with NAT issues plenty of times in 40yrs of gaming. And ignoring it is not a solution as it will be limiting how many people he can play with.
And yes, you said you had 10 tickets with DE and spoke to a superior there in your original reply and I simply pointed out that they can't fix your NAT issues as its not on their end. No need to get offended over it.
Of course the OP can decide what he wants to do, but telling someone the solution to a problem is pretend it isn't there is beyond stupid. You didn't "deal" with the problem if you ignored it, its not real advice.
