Regular Inaros build with 3 umbrals, adaptation and grace does not need any healing whatsoever, you do do it but you won't need to click it.
Crowd control can be useful, Nidus' Larva comes in mind.
Warcry if you focus on melee.
Xata's Whisper if you want cool new damage (new to warframes).
Titania's or Nezha's 1 gives you status immunity, easier to use than his 4 augment, Nezha's 1 also cleanses statuses on allies as well as hits enemies with heat proc.]
Or any debuff like Pillage (you won't get overshields but you will still rip enemy armor and shields), Ember's inferior version of it, or Ash 1.
Play around with it, find what fits your build and approach.
recently learned that Blood Altar heals not for percentage of total health, but for percentage of a difference between max health and current health, meaning that with classic build of Inaros you are unlikely get get past any significant heals.
I'd say good choices are Blood Altar, War Cry, or Xata's Whisper.
You can get a mod for Inaros' 4th ability that makes him immune to CC. It just subtracts 3% off of his damage reduction of the 4th ability so you'll just have to use the 4th ability every now and then to top off your damage reduction some more. So I'd say getting any of those abilities is pretty much a waste for Inaros.
While abilities I suggested, especially Nezha's 1 are easier to cast, one tap and it's on, has very high base duration, helps allies and strips armor from enemies. As well as stacks well with Condition Overload when you focus on melee.
Sure, his 4 can use projectile to heal but in my nearly 7000 hours I am yet to witness Inaros doing that.
imho it's just a better replacement for his 4, you don't even have to waste a mod slot for it's augment.
And tbh Inaros has so much EHP that no status can hurt him, only reason people run his 4 augment is knockdowns and once you get Primed Sure Footed even that is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ upgrade over his 4 imho as you do not have to sit and wait for it to charge.
