Is the deep freeze mod super rare or something?

Frostbite is better than Deep Freeze because the only reason you'd ever want cold on your secondary weapon is to form viral and if you want viral then you also want status.

Sometimes, you have a weapon that is cursed with a D polarity, and you don't want to forma it into something else.

Sometimes, you have a weapon that is cursed with a D polarity, and you don't want to forma it into something else.

It's a case where you either forma the polarity into something else, leave it for a different mod (Sure Shot is 90% status chance, higher than Frostbite, Rivens can match the polarity if you're "lucky"), or the weapon isn't actually that great and is not worth the forma

OP, it's allegedly "uncommon" but effectively very super rare. I've gotten 4 from regular play in 4.5 years. But I got about 25 per event from Wolf & Emissary events as drops from fugitives & zealots.

IMO, if you missed those Nightwave events, you're chasing a unicorn to get Deep Freeze.

Well damn.... I wanted it for a super niche Titania build where I use both Deep Freeze and Frostbite but if its super rare I guess I won't bother. And honestly, I kinda don't want to accept it from the people willing to give it to me because if I'm not grinding it myself it cheapens the feeling of finally getting it.

RNG? I've got dozens of these. To the point I've been endo'ing the lot ^_^. The drop rates are around 1 in 20, but it's from specific mobs. If you've been farming for resources in Vallis, you'll get a few from Exploiter, i.e. why farm just A when you can farm the alphabet.
