Strictly speaking, Xaku's description specifies no assignment of gender. If your beef is with what other people are calling it, that has nothing to do with DE.
Tho fact that other's opinions of a feature you like in a video game effect your own opinion and enjoyment of it seems like an issue you should look at.
Cause game is about how you see it.
And I honestly do not give any ♥♥♥♥♥ about a gender of a character I play in a video game.
Coming from someone who "mained" Nezha. And I find it slightly disturbing that trap meme is used on a child deity as in mythology Nezha is a child, but I still enjoy playing Nezha as much as I did before I learned about that "meme".
Anyways. Xaku would reasonably use they/them given their case, but I think even the devs on livestream said "him." No one gets it right because just putting it in a description doesn't really catch the attention of anyone, and it is a pretty insignificant issue.
Fun-fact: Xaku was originally designed as female in early concept work
