Having said that, I do agree. It is advertised as free. ie, no need to spend money in warframe. But then, have to be a prime member which requires money - so not free
You pay for the burger and the fat is included at no extra charge. 🤪
Literally login in-game and you get your source[i.imgur.com], but ok then since you asked so nicely.
A very easily farmable plain non-prime WarFrame and some skin stuff. Unlike what the sycophants here have been saying, I don't believe it allows you to use the same card number to 'sign up again'. Netflix does the same kind of check as it has to be a different card number in order to use a free trial. Most other places do the same.
I was a bit disturbed by my own clanmates (no less) vigorously defending the practice saying that DE has been doing it 'once every few months' on a regular basis and sending a glorified advert via in-game mail with 'free' but without the asterisk or disclaimer.
Back in the day (around 2017-ish) when I had played WarFrame before the 'Great SMB Collapse' event caused me to stop playing, they used to offer full on actual PRIME WARFRAMES for free with this Amazon Prime stuff. That was a damn DEAL.
Now? Here's some skin that costs maybe 50 plat or whatever. And here's a Warframe you probably already have unless you are REALLY new and aren't aware of how easy it is to farm/build. I wonder what happens for those who already have Loki? Do we still get the skin and WF slot? Is that worth it?
See what people don't understand is data (your data) is valuable. That's all they really care about. Your credit card or debit card = your real data linked to the game to sell to advertisers who then do stuff like send teenage girls some maternity coupons in the mail[www.forbes.com].
Most won't care. "Just cancel the sub". Not taking into account it is a one-time deal precluding that same card from EVER being used in the future when a superior/better offer may appear. Just get another card? Perhaps a prepaid card might work that costs about $3+ to $5+ USD just to purchase and again it would be a one-time thing. Not 'free' anymore, is it?
There are certain cards I've seen in the past that allow for generating a 'virtual' card number to use online with specific retailers. From my experience it was only 'Discover' cards doing this in the USA, but I admit I don't know much about how non-USA consumers can do stuff like this.
I speak from what I know, and I know that this is a terrible marketing stunt. Not only are the items almost not worth it at all (a WF slot is like 20 plat which comes out to about 20 cents if you do the 100 plat per USD conversion) but barely anyone uses Loki to 'fashion frame' either. Loki is there to stab things and sneak around.
Now if it were Wisp or Trinity or a frame people actually cared about? Maybe a Loki Prime? THAT would be amazing. As it is this is a half-baked poor effort by DE and they deserve to be called out on how cheap, lazy, and potentially-deceptive their advertising is.
EDIT: I didn't remember it at the time, but here in the USA in the region/state that I live in, prepaid cards REQUIRE a US social security number and real information to use before becoming 'active'. It also requires a minimum load of at least $5 USD to $10 USD to activate and it won't activate just from buying the base card alone. I don't know if this happens elsewhere but I thought I'd mention it. Using the prepaid card method is not 'free' or even cheap if you are in certain areas of the USA (or outside the USA).
Which you get from Amazon Prime.
Amazon Prime has a 30 days free trial that you can cancel at any time without any consequences.
Sounds pretty free to me.
Every time I see a Twitch Prime reward I just need to make a new email, and sign up for a free Amazon Prime account.
Yea it's a bit of a work, but it's free. What did you expect, serve it right into your mouth?
Sounds like you never used a trial before.
I literally did the same thing today but okay, dismiss his claim before you even test it for yourself as proof.
You see, using a trial requires you not using it before. I know that's complicated, but it's true.
