Can this game be played completely solo?

I dont have any friends whom are interested in this game so Ill be solo. Can this be enjoyed solo? Or is it like any other MMO where you have dungeons and raids etc and need other people?

There are bosses that CAN be done solo but take a lot of investment in to do so. Raids were removed, but the game has a multiplayer drop-in mode. So even if you don't have friends, you can still just drop into a mission with other players. Plus there's an in-game chat dedicated to recruiting users for clans and missions.

Yes, all content can be done solo. Some things like tridolon caps are more efficient with a group, but other people are not required to clear any of the content.

Some examples:
I can do a solo 2 hour survival arbitration.
You can do profit taker solo in about 7 minutes.
I can manage 2 hydrolist caps in a night cycle solo.
All of steel patch can be soloed.
All railjack content can be soloed easily (and you wont get trolled).
ESO C rotations? EZ solo.
Tier 3 iso vaults, exploiter, high risk index, all doable solo.

Everything in this game is either a breeze to solo, or takes a slight bit of setup/practice to solo. The only bebefit ggoups offer is that you are likely to group with tryhards that do all the work for you.

Above is accurate, so I'll just add there is a dedicated button to decide your matchmaking type. You can set it to Public, Friends Only, Invite Only, and Solo, and all content can be done in any type.

The one thing that you should probably know, there are some blueprints that are only available through clan's dojo(this games take on player's guild) it's mostly weapons and equipment that are not essential and most of them can be alternatively purchased with premium currency, but I thought that this is something that should be mentioned.

Cata/stasis limbo trivializes sp intercepts, as discussed in another thread. There are other options, like vauban, but I did them using just limbo, yes, even the corpus ones with the annoying cata breaking nullifiers. It takes a small amount of gitgud sometimes.

Frost bubble with the mod that freezes on entry, wisp, wukong. Or just agil jump about rapidly clearing stuff before it's capped.

Make sure you've got the mod that makes enemies freeze when entering the bubble, and be sure to rotate between the points frequently just in case. Interception is hectic.

About the drop-in function. I quit playing LoL, OW and every other competetive online game because of the toxicity. How will people react when they join/get joined by a noob like me? The games been out for years so I imagine everyone knows what theyre doing etc? Most people dont take kindly to new players.

While the new player experience is not the best designed feature, the warfarm community is pretty good about helping and welcoming new players into the fold. Ask questions in chat if you need help and I guarantee someone will help you out.

As far as playing with higher MR people, it'll happen, but they typically won't care if you are low level, they can solo the mission and will carry you.

I know its a friggin ancient video, but it still holds some truth as far as the NPE goes:

Heyo, MR 27 here. I believe veteran players might ruin the game for you instead of the other way around. Think of it this way, I join your game, nuke almost the entire map, one shot the boss and fly to extraction. To answer your question, i dont mind who joins my game, as long as you're not trolling me and actively try to sabotage the mission.

Warframe is a lot more chill than most games, it has one of the better communities. Warframe is a non-competitive PVE game, anyone that is toxic deserves an ignore (in-game block mechanic). Just note that eidolon hunts usually require you to know your stuff before joining and is probably the more toxic side of warframe

PS. wiki is your friend, the game does a bad job of explaining things. And yes you can solo this entire game. But join a clan for their researched weapons, and do learn to trade, you can go to the site i linked below to find sellers for an item

I'm MR30 and I play solo most of the time. I think the game has some nice sci-fi ninja moments when stalking with an invisible Loki/Ash and taking all the time you want instead of rushing through the map as mentioned in a comment before. This has it's very own immersion / atmosphere, at least for me.
And within 3k play hours, I never really had a real issue or argument with someone in a public run, so when I need players, I switch to public and get what I want. Next time, I'll be running solo again.
